You want someone to be punished in regards to their livelihood based on an arrest? Do you understand the implications of that?

Domestic Violence arrestees are generally held in jail for 12 to 24 hours (giving time for the victim to move or seek refuge somewhere else).

To give scope on how badly the judge fukked that guy. I went to a bonds man a couple of years ago to bail out a family member who was arrested for DV. He was held for 12 hours. I had to pay $600 cash to the bondsman to get him out. Which was 12% of his $5000 bail. So yeah, it should only cost around $600 cash to get someone out of jail for a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.

In this case they bumped it up to a felony (not sure why, probably because of media attention). But they are going to need a lot more evidence to get a felony conviction. Dude will most likely take a plea for a misdemeanor DV charge or maybe he'll sweet talk her and the entire thing gets dropped.




I know that picture looks bad but he didn't really rough her up that bad. I'm guessing its a bit of blood from a slap to her nose. Lips look fine. No teeth missing. No swollen/blackened eyes. No pictures of her neck to indicate he tried to strangle her. Etc. He's a big guy. One punch with a closed fist and she'd have looked far worse then that.


Not trying to defend him or say he doesn't deserve jail time. But it doesn't look to me like he was trying to deliver a beating that would seriously hurt or kill her. Again, it doesn't even look like he punched her with a closed fist.

Greg Hardy was deactivated, placed on the exempt list, and suspended for the exact same chit while legal proceedings took place.. and he was 10x the player that this guy is. Greg Hardy got his charges expunged from his record and STILL got a 4 game suspension because of everything that happened

NFL players with Domestic Violence are common. He will only get released if he isn't a good player on the field.

zero proof of criminal guilt until investigated. we don't know the events that took place surrounding her receiving the injuries. There is obvious proof of her injuries.

Again, I don't think you understand how disturbing that sort of reaction is--people getting fired from their jobs because they are arrested. That is not some light issue. You want people fired and disgraced immediately after being arrested. That is a dangerous societal and cultural norm. The NFL and the Seahawks, like everyone in America, should wait for an investigation and criminal proceedings.

Seriously, stand back for a moment and think about what you are saying. People getting punished for being arrested. That makes getting someone arrested a dangerous weapon that can be manipulated.

I am saying that is insane and has very serious ramifications if it becomes a societal and cultural norm. Arguably it already is, but it shouldn't. Getting arrested must never be equated with being guilty or be seen as a green light to destroy someone in society. There is a reason for a legal process it is fundamental for a functioning society.
