All the numbers are there, and If overshorting a stock is illegal, than telling people that a stock is overshorted and the company has potential to turn its business around and buying it.
I mean Tesla PE is like 1,666. SQ trades 155x earnings.
What are fundamentals lol.

It's probably no coincidence that Tesla is the other big name right now known for short squeezes and destroying shorts. But at least people can put some type of argument around Tesla, I mean surely their HVAC business will be a massive profit generator

Was thinking about holding GME over the weekend since I have just one share, but was thinking about cutting my losses on BB. Bought 50 shares when it was $26 (buy high sell low yeah yeah I know, I gambled what I could afford to lose tho.) Can't see it going back above $20.

Same reason why penny stock promoters like Penny Stock Chaser got prosecuted and put in jail and heavily fined 8 years ago. They were organizing pumps to manipulate the market.
Those guys used to get $1 Million for a month long promo program and EVERYONE would buy the stocks they promoted. When they released a pick a stock would go up 1000% in 5 minutes.
Then the SEC cracked down.

I keep trying to tell you guys but no one seems to be listening. The brokerage houses are restricting trading on certain stocks because they are limiting their liability. They don't want a kid buying $500 k of GME on margin and the stock falling 80% and they have to cover a $400 K loss and they only have $50 k in the account. Trust me when I say this as someone who as dealt with compliance dept's from brokers for years. What the brokers are doing is completely normal. You just hear about it now because a bunch of novice traders who have no idea wtf they are talking about are complaining. But this has happened 1000s of times.
In fact the only real people in danger or being sued are the WSB crew by the SEC for stock manipulation.

And obviously RH was going to be visible in this because of their dollar store brokerage model. Which might not bode well for them because they marketed their services to these same novices. Not legally, but just from the fickle nature of their clients.

Yea, I dont understand why Robinhood Ceo didnt come out and say this more eloquently. Would have helped his case more, although they will still be hurt by being woefully unprepared for this.

So until things calm down this is how it will be.
Plus as I said, the SEC and brokers know that it isn't WSB behind all of this. They are little fish being used as a front man for the big fish.
It's shady. The sec and brokers want stable markets. Not chaos.
I told you guys the story where I had $3 M in my TD Ameritrade account and made 100s of trades a day with them, and one day I got a call from compliance and told me I was being kicked off of their platform. I had been a client for 17 years.
Reason? I was trading stock for my wife and a buddy in their accounts using the same IP address. My WIFE lol. She had all of $5000 in there, and my buddy maybe $20 K.
Didn't matter. They booted me.
Don't fawk around with the SEC or Compliance and I promise you they will put an end to this MEME frenzy.

LOL, no, they know full well. At worst they manipulated the market to save their partner investment firm, or at best they panicked because they have no clue what they're doing and too stupid to realize the effect their actions were going to have. Either way it's not a good look for someone you want to be custodian of your cash and investments.

None of you probably remember or heard of him, but Jonathon Lebed was prosecuted by the SEC back in the early 2000s for just this. He was the king of stock pumps.

It is illegal to purposely try and manipulate a stock the way that WSB is doing it...at least in the SEC's eyes.
None of you probably remember or heard of him, but Jonathon Lebed was prosecuted by the SEC back in the early 2000s for just this. He was the king of stock pumps.

Looking back at your trading Id say that your best moves have been when you've had conviction in a stock and stuck with it (JKS even though you timed your trades a little poorly and Palantir). Just my 0.02, tell me to fuk off if I'm out of line (completely srs).
I buy at bottoms. And add if it dips more. And then sell on the way up.
Very profitable strategy and I sleep stress free at night.

I just noticed that AMD was on Robinhood's restricted list today. AMD. Seriously? How do they even justify that one?
I've read some tweet that hedge funds were heavy on AMD puts and have now switched to calls. If this information is reliable at all, then what a fukin chit show.

Or Stock Moe shilling NIO and TSLA to his 300k Subs
genuinely curious, because likely his subs and followers will buy, but they have the option not to, just like people viewing on WSB
in a way it similar to hedge funds coordinating an attack on a stock right? only it takes a million people to have enough funds to go up against a hedge fun
