Knock yourself out. Use RH all you want. Don't use it. I don't care.

The fact is you posted....

Sure they're fine. Robinhood selling user data to hedge funds isn't market manipulation at all. But users online joining together to coordinate trades the same way hedge funds do is market manipulation. Got it...

And you have no idea what you are talking about.

This is the way. And with otc penny stocks it is even better because the 'story' of each company sells much better than the Nasdaq or NYSE stocks.

There isn't much difference. I agree. And normally the SEC will leave those alone.

However when a company or sector like GME or covid stocks last year get attention for massive rises?

Then the SEC cracks down. They are a scam just like the entire stock market and the world in general.

You just need to learn how to play it.

I am struggling with how puts work, I understand calls well, not puts
I picked up puts yesterday afternoon near the top (das it) for this reason. May 21st expiration, $300 strike price for spy (ETF for the S&P index). Got 10 of them which cost around $4500.

They're up around $1800 at the moment but their real value will come if the market tanks hard to $350 or lower, will be a solid 5 figure gain which will help offset losses in my portfolio of shares, plus then I have that cash from selling the puts to invest in more shares if I want (or degen yolo it into LEAPS (long dated calls) which is what I'd do lol)

Not really taking that long compared to the average. NGA for example was 30 days after bloomberg article, Faraday was 19 days, Plus AI was around a month too.

Pretty sure when I was in GRAF it was 2 or 3 weeks even .

That IV is so high. If you guys have the shares I would highly look at selling CC against them. That option pricing is way too good to be true.

Breakeven on a $15 strike is around $20. That's insane.

Unless it pulls another GME and just blows WAY past that to like $50 which is what people seem to be betting on.
That's pretty bad bro. Considering it was over 20 very easily.

I got 40$ cc for 300 premiums. 10x better.
I used to have an AVI of my traps and neck. I changed it a while back and tried editing my user title but this website is glitched and it will not let me change it anymore.

You're 100% right brah. I got lucky with a couple risky call option plays and just dump those profits into other risky chit. End up in a cycle of hitting it big then losing most of it then repeat. Luckily I still have a large amount of my recent gains, gonna take a step back and analyze the situation before making another purchase next time. This is indeed the way.

Gotta spread some rep before giving it again for u.

You can afford to buy $156,500,000 dollars (500 K shares x $313) worth of GME right now? When you wrote earlier todaythat your net worth is "Anywhere between $10 and $50 M"?

What does his personality have to do with anything? They need cash and CCIV can give them the most of that. Chamath tweeting incessantly to his thousands of robinhood user followers isnt going to help them sell a $170K car.

CCIV was almost exclusively created to take Lucid public, look at everyone involved in the team, its full of people with ties to the Saudis, the auto industry and then Jony Ive who might be one of the best designers in the world.

And btw, you are the only one that I've seen accurately describe what occurred with Robinhood. Additionally, the open interest created a very dangerous situation where if certain markers got hit, there was the potential that RH would not have been able to deliver 100% of the shares depending on how many would have potentially been exercised had no brakes been put on.

It's not as sexy of a story as some big hedgefund robinhood scandal, but it's accurate. The sexier story with RH, Melvin, Citadel, etc., however is a good lesson to new investors that your friend is not necessarily your friend in these markets.

"There's a short squeeze going on in silver. The 'hoodies' are all rolling into silver, and the party is on," Phil Streible, chief market strategist at Blue Line Futures, told Bloomberg. "All those other stocks like GameStop and AMC, they're dumping because they've been restricted, and they gotta go into other short opportunities, and silver is an easily identifiable target."

fking lol how pathetic they've become. nobody is dumping gamestop and AMC, everyone is buying. There's very few threads about silver and related stocks. I'm not in GME but if they're resorting to these sorts of media manipulation tactics, they really don't have a leg to stand on.

Bought some CCIV before close, just gambling on the merger.

Bought some slv too and paid too much, should have looked closer at the bid ask spread.

How common is the use of margin among the average investor and is it generally a bad idea? I’ve already formed my own opinion which is to not use it, I just feel it’s kind of ridiculous I’m offered 4x buying power when I’m a relatively new investor, only been doing this a year. Must be commonly used if it is so flippantly offered

Dipped into this WSB/AMC craze on Thursday. Was up double and decided to hold. Next day had the trading halts and AMC plummeted below my entry. It’s a gut wrenching feeling to see your profits plummet and not be able to do anything about it. Quite stressful too. Sold for a little profit and got out. Not trying to deal with the BS. Got greedy and almost got burned. Will stick to safer moves that got me 60% gains this month. Slow and steady for me.
