You're an absolute idiot. Should've been no more than $3k to put in GME. Did you sell? Might as well keep that **** in and pray in explodes.

I got $700 tied in AMC. Lost have so far. Not selling still, but I think it's about over.

Oh, man.

I do think everybody who actively trades has blown up their first account at some point. This is a heavy one but learn from it.

I had a covered call I'd sold against my AMC position so couldn't take advantage of the spike. Closed it all out and took my 60% gains on the original investment at $2.50. Will buy back in if it dips to $5 again.

With all that debt off their books, I think that's going to be a surprisingly durable company after all. When the pandemic eases you might still recover some of your losses on your existing position.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

Including their first CTO, in a company that deals with software, in 2021. LOL.

They screwed the pooch royally when they bought Impulse in 2011 and just, like, forgot. They could have been the natural rival to Steam. A bunch of cool synergies are possible there if they want to make a serious digital push, though.

Same for AMC. They were already trying to figure out how to tie their in-theater rewards program into their streaming service before the pandemic. There are angles, they just have to figure out how to work them. People like the brand.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

Executives for what? Become a developer and acquire software studios? Doesn't sound like a bad idea imo.

if they can put out some literature or some chit, maybe 100 is a good value. saying cant they say some business bullchit.

there is no value in the company but this hasn't been a serious problem for an american company in decades.

The thing is it could have easily went to 1000 that thursday or atleast very close to it, until they literally restricted buying. So while greed is the biggest reason most of us got screwed the rug got pulled out from most of us on thursday and there was no way you could see it coming.

Serious question: wouldn't it be a good time to short it now since it's on it's way down? Can us regular people even short on Robinhood?

I have 28 shares at $13, if robinhood didn’t screw everyone I was thinking it was gonna go $20+ 100% and I would of sold.

Now I’m thinking the long game with AMC, things are slowly going back to normal so when movie theaters open at full capacity it should jump

It's never going to. They've narrowly escaped death with the loan they received recently, but they're still in horrible shape. Most analysts have a price target of $2 for AMC.

There's a small chance. People are piling in droves and absorbing all of the dilution. The apps are lifting limits and from what I can see some shorts have gotten pretty rekt.

All it needs is some upward momentum and people will pile in with the force of 10,000 kakarots after watching krillan get murked by frieza.

I dumped some money into Nokia and AMC just to go along for the ride. I'm only slightly green, but I give no ****s.

BlackRock increased their holding by 60% yesterday. Analysts slashed the value from $2 to $1 even though AMC is in a much better position now financially and theaters have started opening back up.

They black bagged the subreddit yesterday 8 minutes before market open and kept it closed until 5 minutes after the markets closed. Clearly there's games being played for a reason. I'm here because I like popcorn.

No, there's a 0% chance. AMC went public in 2013 and has only hit a high of $35.68 in its heyday. Heading into this pandemic, AMC had $5 billion in debt and they're currently sitting at roughly $5.7 billion so it didn't get any easier for them. This company is having a difficult time just keeping its doors open let alone hitting record highs when it's drowning in debt.

I wouldn't say 0%, but the bull thesis was never real.

At least with GME we honestly won't know for sure until the 9th. Pricing usually reflects what people believe about the future, and the report on short interest will likely revise those beliefs. Anything else seems like wish-casting.

I just needed to see something happen to keep them afloat and it did. So I bought at $4.68. A lot of people don't know the Chinese own AMC and own the majority of theatres world wide, and it's a huge propaganda machine. Could it still go under, sure. But I don't see that happening in the near future. So I'll hold. With streaming services releasing so many movies this year, it'll more than likely struggle, but it also depends on what they do next. A-List looked promising, and a lot of people liked it.

I threw in a small stack to get out at $40. If the trading platforms didn't cuck everybody it most likely would have hit. I also got in at below $5. Still sucks missing out on unrealized gains.

I do not recognize wallstreetbets at all right now. Perhaps it is the fact that they're moderation team have been purging other moderators, perhaps it's the fact that it went from 1 million people to about 9 million people inside of a week. But little is recognizable from the group whose due diligence at one point in time helped me make decisions like purchasing ICLN before the election. Just a bunch of people yelling about one stock and one stock only, posting the same diamond hands emoji over and over again, crucifying with downvotes anyone who doesn't believe the short squeeze happened already - last Wednesday to Friday.

All good things come to an end. I suppose it is difficult and unrealistic to expect a community that grows nine times its initial size inside of a week to retain any of its initial characteristics. I don't recognize that place anymore. Don't get me wrong, as I have said they have always been ridiculous...... But it was a different brand of ridiculous.

If you've checked out my videos, and you visit that forum, do keep in mind that my videos were made when it was 10% it's current size and does not reflect what you see when you go there now
