Not most underrated but Upgrade was fantastic.

Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

On spread but absolutely true. Pretty great statements regarding long-term happiness and not making the male figure a beta. And again, Tea Leoni's character was by no means a beotch or otherwise negative. Sweet film.

I'm not sure you understand what underrated means.

Underrated:
"Something that has not received the merit, recognition or praise it deserves. A movie that is really very good but that no one really pays attention to or praises is an example of an underrated movie."
“The Misc. is a stone-faced Uncle Sam with Popeye’s forearms and a cocked pistol in each hand. It’s a screeching bald eagle with a foreign Bad Thing in its talons. It’s everything that defines America’s bro culture, magnified and weaponized. But it’s deeper than that.“

I agree, it's a solid movie and definetiely underated, but I disagree about the action scenes looking great. I feel they could've been more creative here with the premise. Also that green color filter is somewhat repetitive.

Anyways my pick. Same dude, 2 years earlier:

Watchmen
It's closer to the source material than probably any movie adaption I ever watched, but comic nerds still whine about minor differences like the black Corsair missing, while critic cry about it being to close and not streamlined enough.

I love that film, but I wouldn't call it underrated.

High scores from users on IMDB 7.6 and Metacritic 8.1. Critics were mixed though.

The 13th Warrior was GREAT!

Others already mentioned:
Willow
Troy
Family Man

Others I haven't seen mentioned:
Push
Warcraft (I never played the games)
Pete's Dragon (2016) I like the 1977 also
Pure Luck (1991 for you younger folks)
Enemy Mine (6.9, so on the bubble) I recently rewatched and the special effects haven't aged well

What About Bob is rated as a 7.0 but is still underrated because it's much better than that!

Didn't check it. Only ever saw people on youtube have meltdowns over minor details being wrong. Then again like with many Snider Films there are multiple cuts and I only ever watched the extended director's cut. Maybe the shorter cinematic version was indeed inferior.

Another great one.

Also loved Sucker Punch immediately.

I have to mention The Game again (I did in a similar thread awhile back), it is engaging and fun and blows you away, particularly the first time you watch it. You go away saying 'Whelp, I won't watch it again since I know the ending' but then watch it multiple times over the years, if you're like me.

Gotta put The Family Man out there, if you're a dude and don't fall in love with Tea Leoni you need to switch teams.
What was the line at the end? I was kidnapped and left for dead in Mexico and all I got was this stupid T-shirt?

Hahaha.I think it was Michael Douglas and Sean Penn if I remember correctly. Too lazy to look it up right now.
I have sampled every language and French is my favorite to curse in.

I only saw the director's cut too.

I'm glad I've only seen that version if it pissed off so many fans. I've read the Graphic Novel too. Graphic Novel IMO is superior, but the movie is still awesome.

The Dr Manhattan origin story part of the movie was so damn good, as was the title sequence.

OK here I have a couple I think.

'Nick of Time'. Johnny Depp, Christopher Walken.

'Ed Wood' "It's the best work I've ever done."

Kinda sucks what's happened to him in recent years. He looks weird as fuk and got screwed by that bitch.

I'll try to think of some others later.

would post the trailer but it doesnt really depict the movie well.

Very original, very unpredictable, very good acting and cinematography.

That title sequence is great, yes.
I also prefer the graphic novel, but the movie is really quite close.
