When bitcoin, and others, are flat-lined or outright banned at the stroke of a pen I will not rub it in. I will just watch in awe. I really, really hope it doesn't happen but you'd be a fool not to see it coming.
The rage will shake mountains, some will end it all, and the FED will announce their own proprietary "authorized" digital coin a week later.

Simple matter is, bitcoin has value, some people just mad they didn't jump on the boat because the bitcoin boat has to be one of the easiest ways for new people to make it rich. Literally just had to buy some and hold.

10 second search, I find this in a reddit post. Maybe its just paranoid ramblings, or maybe he's right? Above my head
The Snowden docs on wiki leaks shows the NSA has backdoors in at least some of the ECC class of crypto, developed by Neal Koblitz.
The more popular ECC crypto used by most was the one Snowden had docs on, the one used by Bitcoin didn't have such docs.
However, a few days before Satoshi released his 2008 Paper on Bitcoin, Neal Koblitz released his own paper praising ECC crypto and the NSA.
So some think it is suspicious that the creator of ECC crypto just happened to release his own paper praising what is now known to be backdoored.
Some in the bitcoin world think the use of the Koblitz curve ECC by Satoshi was a 'lucky' thing, since the more popular ECC crypto appears to have been backdoored.
But it's very suspicious that just days before Bitcoin paper is released with Koblitz curve crypto there was Neal Koblitz praising the NSA and ECC crypto as a whole.
Then you have the certicom issue, it's supposed to be Blackbery and the main guy at certicom is always the co-author of new Neal Koblitz ECC papers.
Now you have Etherum and guess who was hired as an advisor, Neal Koblitz.
NSA's job is secure and break crypto for USA, so you look at all the crypto, ECC, Blackberry, etc and you see Neal Kolbitz. Now he's in bed with Etherum.
Now when ECC was being pushed by NIST and the Snowden docs show 10 Million going to NIST from the NSA to push the cooked ECC crypto, all you see are red flags.
NSA Suite B is the key it's used in most crypto today.
So all crypto may be cooked.
How do you cook ECC? Well there's some good videos explaining it on youtube, math professors explaining that if the seed keys to ECC have known mathematical relationships to the developer (NSA) then they can easily cook or back door it.
Bottom line is RSA warned about all this and no one listened, and now RSA is looking more secure than anything connected to ECC/Koblitz/NSA.
TOR came out of Naval Intelligence and the NSA came out of Naval Intelligence.
In the early 1980's the NSA tried to muzzle academia in the USA with all kinds of stuff like saying any encryption related academic papers in the USA had to go through the NSA.
Academia didn't go for it, so they switched gears and just bought all academics with NSA grants.
When you start to look around at all the papers the past 30 years you see one publisher in control Springer-Verlag.
Guess who publishes Koblitz's biography and papers.
Springer-Verlag.
So that may be the black op channel to pay off all the crypto geeks via Springer-Verlag.
More and more it's looking like RSA may be the only secure crypto left.
Very few people really know squat about crypto, and every word I've said is based upon research showing the somewhat hidden connections to NSA in all versions of ECC.
The seed keys in ECC are way smaller than the prime seeds in RSA too, so they sold ECC on how small it was to work with saving computer power in doing the crypto. So if the seed keys are cooked, you have no encryption really with ECC.

From what I can see it goes; Bitcoin pumps then dips > Ethereum pump then dips, then all other cryptos. Higher highs, and lower lows in a bull market.

I believe in the future of cryptocurrency.
But at the moment it's obviously a shady market.
People who own some should just hold, yes.
But buying? Risky business.
The high volatility just means big players are making the price move to make bank, screwing the little guy.
I'm just too risk averse for this ****.
Again, if you can get in CHEAP and buy the proverbial dip, good for you and I recommend.
But if you're like 99% of people, buying and hoping it goes up, you're going to get burned.
And right now I dont think the value has anything to do with anything intrinsic. Its pure speculation.
Bitcoin is just not going to replace major currencies ANY TIME soon.
Let alone the supply of Bitcoin, which the experts say is limited, carefully monitored, etc...sounds just too risky as a store of value.
Its like a bank telling me they have this new currency and, dont worry, there's a limited supply of it.

The key is simply take some profits along the way at stages where you feel satisfied with the profit you've made and want to lock some in so from that point on you can't lose no matter what - same as how I look at any of the investments I have. It varies from person to person, and obviously bagging huge multiples gets harder the later you enter.

Great news for Crypto. Although $1.5 billion isn't as much as the normal $50+ billion. But it's still a sign of crypto inching towards mainstream.

Simple matter is, bitcoin has value, some people just mad they didn't jump on the boat because the bitcoin boat has to be one of the easiest ways for new people to make it rich. Literally just had to buy some and hold.

The German Royal family, even though losing their throne like 100+ years ago, is still leisurely rich to this day. And that's despite the Communists seizing everything from them in Prussia.
