By 3 pants and shirts meaning 2 pairs of thermals with regular pants and a hooded sweater over.
If you don't have proper boots then I'd also suggest wearing 2-3 pairs of socks.
That plus a nice big thick blanket wrapped around you several times will get you through the night.

To make your home warmer you need a fire that draws combustion air from outdoors, not from inside your house.
Latest: Some people have power back. Don't know if it will last or not. My brother went to the house when he found out and says he will try to get it warmed up.
If your power has been out awhile (and you aren't in your house) you may want to check and see what's up.
Going to check in with him in an hour or so to see how it is going. Debating if we should stay here at the hotel or drive back to the house before the sleet and freezing rain starts up. The winter storm warning is for 6 PM tonight through sometime Thursday.

May not make it brahs
Sitting in my car getting some heat.
Haven’t had power for 27 hours now. Only had power 4 hours total in the last 41 hours
1 laptop dead, other laptop down to 22%
Phone at 20% and currently in my car charging it and getting some heat.
May car maybe has 7 hours of gas in it total and charges my phone slow as sh*t.
Odds are I won’t have communication beyond Wednesday afternoon if this power outage persists.

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

I never lost power but the pipes in my apartment froze on Sunday night even though I left the faucets dripping. Now I'm staying in the apartment of a relative. It won't be until Friday that it will be revealed whether the pipes burst or not. Since it's too dangerous to drive I had to walk two hours to get to my relative's apartment, bringing only whatever I could carry with me.
People are going crazy buying out the grocery stores. It's like it's March all over again. Whole aisles are just cleared out. There was literally no fresh meat, eggs, or milk at the Walmart I went to today.

I'm North of Houston.
My power came back this afternoon, but I'm not sure for how long.
The power company e-mailed and said they would have rolling blackouts. My work told me to stay home tomorrow because all the snow and ice that melted today will re-freeze and then it will rain tomorrow, which will also freeze tomorrow night.

It would be a lie if I said this situation isn't producing some anxiety in me, just barely though. I know I'm safe, live in a good building and don't foresee any problems in the next days from aftermath.
I can totally see how this event might be creating anxiety, stress, doubt and whatever else you can think of for some, especially older people, people living in old homes, other conditions, etc etc. No power/heat in freezing temps and pretty much trapped inside your home is surreal. All because some electric or power companies didn't prepare.

I’m in my car now and it seems like it’s lasting better than I thought it would on gas. Been in here for about 1.5 hours and still have a lot of gas, this is way better than any warming station.
Power was on at our house very briefly (brother said he was only home 10 minutes before it went out). I drove over mainly to get my daughter's chromebook for remote learning tomorrow + a few other odds and ends. She didn't have school yesterday or today.
Used a flashlight to find stuff in the house, had my glove off of one hand and that hand was aching with cold by the time I found everything and went back to the car. Water still running from the faucets so far.

ETA: If you go out have your car good and warm w/the vent warming up the windshield in case of freezing rain and don't rush. Lots of bare shiny ice out there now from snow that melted some during the day and then has refrozen.

Your ***gy attempt at a joke reads awkwardly and loses any appeal halfway through, like it's apparent a few words in that it isn't worth reading.
Imagine having a giant double decker watermelon head like the one you have but yet not witty and not enough testosterone to build your muscle up to the point that you look normal.
Yikes!!!

Is everything closed? Can you go out for a hot meal, cup of coffee, etc...
