Hydroxyzine did nothing but turn me into a non-functioning zombie. Gabapentin is much more helpful in my withdrawal. It makes me sleepy, though, just not as sleepy as hydroxyzine.

They also have me taking Lamictal, Buspar, Abilify and Lexapro to help with the withdrawal.

Benadryl works better than anything else in my opinion.

I’m so glad I never got into meds. I don’t take anything. If I have pain which is only very occasionally then I take some OTC Advil. That’s all.
I'm trying to get off of the controlled substance Klonipan. It's like ***** but it's a slower acting version so it's not as addictive. The other drugs are helping me as I have severe anxiety that makes me non-functional (i.e. bedridden). My doctor plans to get me off many of the other drugs once I'm off of the Klonipan. That's the most important now because the DEA is on his ass.

My main issue was restlessness. Like the sensation of needing to alter something or do something to make things better, like when nausea causes you to reorient or writhe a bit. Benadryl allowed me to just sit

Literally nothing will fix the anxiety without just dosing again, your chemistry is stacked against you.

I can't stop all of those and be OK. Almost all of them require slow tapers and withdrawal symptoms. I'm withdrawing from one at a time.

Just stopping Klonipan cold turkey could kill you. That's why they have me on anti-seizure meds as well. Yeah it's quite a cocktail. It's a nightmare to manage all of these prescriptions.

I hoped to be a lifer after 17 years, but the DEA got after my doctor to get me off of it.

I'm not a fan of the DEA for doing this to people like me who weren't abusing the drugs. I always took my prescribed dose.

If you don't want to discontinue, tell your doctors to fist themselves and buy a lifetime supply of diclazepam for $500. They're pretty much indistinguishable.

That's not a good mix.

I had a 28 year old friend of the family die of heroin. I just remembered that, as it happened in November. Very sad to die so young.

A lot of the time people don't know that the stuff they are taking is laced with ********. This happened to rapper Mac Miller. His dealer didn't even know the pills he sold Mac were laced with ********. Another gift from China that makes its way to the U.S. either thru the Mexican border or USPS. ******** is much more profitable than any other drug and it is much more easily concealed because a little bit of it goes a long way when it comes to pressing pills.

I lost a cousin in law (combat veteran) just a few months ago to Opiods.

I cant even count the number of soldiers hat I've known or known indirectly that have gone through the following cycle:

Iraq/Afghanistan + PTSD + VA hospital + Opioids + settlement check from the military for PTSD which enables them to buy more illegal opioids which turns into a Heroin addiction and then ends in death

My girl Brook died Dec 18th, 2018 from ********.

My boy Luke died Oct 7th, 2020 from ********, I was his pallbearer. Extremely difficult day for me, it was all a horrible accident. I think of him every single day.

The sad part is that you can easily google what kind of dose or how much in a 24 hour period of any substance will end up killing you yet people don't take the time to do that and end up dead because of it. This is of course in reference to ones created in a lab and not on the street/trap house which could be literally anything.

I don't know. Of course they acted like fukheads, but I'm just sick to death of people putting their bad decisions on other people. Every story seems to start the same way, "I got a prescription for (fill in the blank) when I hurt my (fill in the blank). Haven't used hard drugs in over six years. Seems like I got out just in time before this ******** plague happened. Scary chit. I don't care how deep a hole you get yourself in....if you genuinely want to get clean and change your life, you'll do what you have to do to make it happen.
