Yes of course, but OP lifts for strength and isn't natty (at least he claims), which is possibly even dumber.

I still do my main lifts for strength, but train everything else high rep for hypertrophy/looks. I'm old now and don't compete anymore.

Maybe true but it's easy to change your body. Personality change is much harder.

One will yield longer lasting, more favourable results, though.

Your looks might get you in the door, but they can only carry you so far. You better have some substance behind them, or youโ€™re fuked.

strength = moving weight from A to B, will not hit every muscle and stimulate growth across all muscles

aesthetics = creating a stimulus and muscular adaptation through progressive overload of target muscle groups and staying lean

not the same thing, you still need to be strong to force adaptation and progressive overload but strength =/= aesthetics

Iโ€™m aesthetic af and not really all that strong. Iโ€™m much stronger than normal people but Usually get surprised looks from people in the gym who are half my size and bloated/unaesthetic but lifting more than me.

I find more value in cardiovascular exercise srs. Love jump rope, swimming, running, etc. bodyweight movements too

I didn't read the thread. But I think people forget (?) that your shape has a lot to do with how good you look. Obviously, strength is incredibly important (for many reasons), but you can't always change the way your body is shaped. Much of that is genetics, I would think- assuming metabolism is in check.
Fact: My first-generation uncle was a boxer who fought Sugar Ray Robinson! He also fought in the war, sacrificing the career he deeply loved, so people could have the right to freedom.

Let's show RESPECT for the POLICE and ALL FIRST RESPONDERS by helping to keep THEM SAFE AND SOUND, and thereby able to PROTECT US!

It's the black guy. big traps, forearms, looks like he has a thick back, isn't as shapeless around the midsection as the two other hogs. you mean 500lbs though, right?

Is 10 reps at 80% of 1rm to failure strength or hyper trophy?

Sometimes I donโ€™t really do the mind muscle connection thing and just feel like Iโ€™m moving weight from point A to B

I am very weak & have a crap physique. I used to do a lot of pump training & used to get amazing pumps & feel like my muscles were destroyed but it never made me build any significant muscle.

Is the reason I'm small because I can only bench 80kg?
