For new Prime movies, liked Greenland & The Rental more.

Probably better if you just skip the first half hour or so which is a lot of lame cameos and jokes that don't hit.

The last hour or so is okay, not great.

Seems like the focus was to cram as many famous black entertainers in as possible, which is fine, but it detracted from what could be an okay plot line.

Just accept the fact that comedy movies are dead. New movies in general have been absolutely **** for a few years now.

It sucked. If you think you're getting 80's Eddie Murphy, think again. Written very politically correct with undertones more for the black community to enjoy.

So much hype and marketing, but its a flop. Don't bother.

tried watching it back on friday night and maybe made it 40-45 minutes. it was really bad and the entire story line was based on rape

I liked it considering the original could never be made in today's culture. Obviously it doesn't match the original, because it can't.

It was nostalgic in a sense. I enjoyed it. But I came in knowing exactly what to expect.

Eddie Murphy during the 80's and Nutty Professor Eddie are 2 completely different actors, so of course the sequel would be "family friendly" comedy.
Kinda the same reason Chris Tucker never wanted to do another Friday

Yall missed Randy Watson if you didnt finish the whole movie

We watched it last night. Was really neat how they used the original people. Background and costuming was eccentric and eye catching. Music not bad. The story was lacking and just meh. Had the same kind of classic humor here n there as the original. Had some laughs, but wouldn’t have spent money to see it had this been in a theater.

Turned it off when Eddie was in the barber shop and said something to the effect like, 'Yes I'm sorry you can't touch women inappropriately whenever you want'. I can't remember exactly what he said but it just seemed ridiculous, like nothing that the character would say. Simply stuck in there to go along with the whole metoo BS.

It's always been that way, and it makes sense since the acting is usually below average and so is the writing. A good horror movie on there is lucky to hit 7. Comedies are similar, but rated higher on avg, I'd say.

Getting tired of all these reboots/relaunches/spinoffs/etc. Have zero interest in watching this. Might have given it a shot if everyone was raving about it. But from the looks of it, it is just another money grab.
