He is full of all kinds of **** and really shouldn't be taken seriously by anybody unless they are in an epic debt hole (and financially retarded).

Brb don't invest in crypto and precious metals

Brb stock market gets an average of 12% return (lol)

Brb tells 20 year olds go pay off low 2% interest debt rather than invest in a high 6-7% interest vehicle like stocks.

Listen. I'm literally financially fukkin retarded. In the last month I've spent $3300 on a gun and $400 on ammo to shoot orange clay disks for fun.

That said, none of his advice makes sense even for someone as rational as me. It's legit for people struggling to spend less than they make every single month.

He knows a lot about getting people from broke to non-broke. He knows zip about investing beyond that.

And he clearly doesn't understand the concept of baby steps vs. milestones.

I actually looked at his website and hired a financial advisor to help me get my finances straight. I’ve got a really good impression so far and they’ve been helpful in getting me to start budgeting my money.

Every one of the "personalities" are fake AF. When the format changed to Dave and a "personality" hosting the show, the quality went down hill. While I'm sure the contracts gives Dave the power to fire people for these things, seems very sketchy as to why it took years for Dave to fire that phat phuk.

The mutual funds return 12% and you can use an 8% withdraw rate in retirement and be ok are both completely bogus and dangerous assumptions.

Dave is good finance 101 for the average joe and gets people to think about money differently. It's common sense to really anyone educated, but i actually know people who get a credit card and treat it like additional income.

Oh yea, Dave is also wrong on credit cards. My last 3 vacations were all abroad to exotic locations - all paid completely by credit card points

Lulz good. Chris Hogan was a fuking imbecile. You could tell all he did was memorize daves talking points are puke them out in a robotic way to each caller. I mostly listen to ramsey for the idiot callers who have a 12 IQ level. I agree with his debt advice but his investing and savings advice is fuking retarded. Imagine keeping 20k in a bank account earning .0001% interest. Better advice would be to invest your emergency fund into a fund like SCHD that holds nothing but dividend aristocrats that way the money grows over time and you also yield a few percent. Sitting on cash is horrible advice unless you are saving it for a bear market.

True but he doesn’t customize the advice at all depending on situations. Which to be fair is so his audience doesn’t get the message confused.

But “I never heard of a millionaire who got rich on credit card rewards” is just intentionally faulty logic. Guarantee you 99% of millionaires have credit cards

Kevin O'Leary preaches similar things to Dave. No debt, pay in cash, and diversify.

Dave is just very set in one way and his way works. It's the average Joe that is broke looking to pay off debt, then live frugally until they retire.

My investment strategy looks nothing like Dave's, but I used his debt snowball as a basic guide to pay off my debt quick. I always love how people say he's for low IQ retards, yet all my friends are in a load of student loan debt, car debt, and mortgage debt and barely saving anything. I paid off all my debt in about of year of sacrifice and then now I am good.

You can always take a little bit everyone and apply to yourself. Ego is a helluva drug.

I agree with people about Dave helping people out of debt. His advice helped me out of mine.

However I still have a credit card, and I agree with investing or moving money to make more that can yield better results than paying off low interest debt.

I personally think his 15yr mortgage idea is a little out of touch for the average couple, but I'm shooting for a 20 year loan on my own.

We always have these *******s that come on and talk about taking out loans against their homes, or even renting so they can invest in the stock market because they argue they have all these gains that makes it worth it. Of course, they are all ballin aren't they? Of course, they love to brag about gains, but those who lose just kind of keep quiet about it. You don't brag about the ass beating you got when you got into a fight.

Having credit cards helps build your credit and they benefit you as long as you don't carry a balance.

Take out a 30yr mortgage and just pay it off quicker. Having the lower minimal payment can really help if you fall into bad times.
