Indeed. The jingoism here is actually shocking to many other countries. The idea that we have to stand and give a pledge to the flag or that kneeling during an anthem would be such a big deal are hilarious indications of how we have been brainwashed from a young age. I love the idea of America -- at least what I think it should be. But to me it is just a country. The flag is just a piece of cloth. It bothers me if someone else seeks to destroy my country though or change it to what I do not want it to be. I care about America, but I think I care more about humanity and the world at large. I am a globalist first, and an American second. I think math and science and the survival of the species are more important than the selfish needs of any one nation. I've been appalled to see how selfish and ignorant my fellow countrymen are at simple things like wearing masks. It just shows their sense of arrogance and ignorance. This same arrogance to not negotiate with Bin Laden or take the Iraqi sanctions seriously led to 9/11 and the ensuing wars. It's just sad.

Exactly. What happened to the brave men storming Normandy with the allies? Does the famous quote from JFK no longer ring true to Americans "Ask not what your country can do for you...."? Instead, now many modern Americans seem to be forgoing their forefathers knowledge of sacrifice, instead whining and crying about having to wear a mask, fighting vehemently solely for their own personal comfort over the livelihood of others. My how the mighty have fallen.

It's basically like this. IDK if u have ever taught a class before. But once in a while there is a toxic kid. Some dumbass, usually an underprivileged minority or a really entitled rich kid, who always whines "why do I have to know this?" "This is stupid. Why does this matter?" And he whines and makes a scene in class. That kid has a toxic attitude. If he is allowed to spread that attitude to the other kids, everyone might go along with him. You can tell him why it is useful, but some of the more defiant kids might still say "Well I don't need to know it; that's for some nerd to do." They probably fudged it a bit, but there is no way they could fudge it enough for us to say they had anything less than a good response. SRS. You'd have to be living in denial if you think more Chinese died than Americans. They managed to confine the outbreak to a few cities. They recently had a resurgence and again cracked down ultra hard and canned it fast. Pretty hard to doctor everything twice don't you think? You can't fake the measures. Actions have consequences. Punish the individual(s), not the entire population, which is what liberals have been trying for quite a while and are now doing.

There are experts on both sides of every argument that can, for the most part, make good arguments for their side, but liberals, like you, completely ignore them because it doesn't fall into your narrative. Y'all keep moving the goal posts, and the excuses keep piling up. It's a huge ****ing ****storm of hypocrisy that's dividing this country more every day and y'all refuse to see it.
