Attacks on Asian Americans need to stop 84 year old killed and 75 year old braindead

It was difficult to find important information on this incident, and I didn't see it going viral, but this needs to stop!

84 Year old killed in racially motivated attack(video in twitter link)

In Oakland's Chinatown neighborhood, police said a man violently shoved three unsuspecting people on January 31, injuring a 91-year-old man, a 60-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman.

Pak Ho, of Oakland, was on his daily walk at the intersection of Jayne Avenue and Perkins Street on Tuesday morning when Teaunte Bailey, 26, approached him, the Oakland Police Department said.

Another 3 attacks!

This is terrible, needs to stop. Weird, this seems to have happened last month but I haven't seen it reported yet, not sure why.
An unidentified assailant was caught on surveillance camera pushing a 91-year-old man to the ground in a recent unprovoked attack in Oakland Chinatown. The incident happened outside the Asian Resource Center at the corner of Harrison and 8th streets on Jan. 31, according to ABC7.


The 91-year-old man was walking on a sidewalk when the suspect, wearing a black hoodie and a face mask, approached and shoved him. The elderly man suffered injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, KTVU reported. The suspect reportedly approached two other victims shortly after the first attack, resulting in one of them losing consciousness, according to the Oakland Police Department’s statement. “The suspect then approached a 60-year-old man and 55-year-old woman from behind that were also walking in the 800 block of Harrison Street,"

I'm not sure why they weren't reported on or went viral, these seem to have happened a month ago, one was even from January but I haven't heard much about them.

Seems that media only now cares to pick up on stopping the hate against Asian Americans movement.

Hopefully these terrible incidents also get some attention.

no this is how you get clicks for people and get others adapted to the news media lifestyle

i think the correct thing for u to say was "stop being racist" and then I was going to say "i dont socialize outside of my social circle who cares" and "i am a professional irrelevance"

Wouldn't it be nice if we lived in a society where this type of logic could be adopted? Unfortunately this is not realistic, nobody wants to have actual discussions, people want their opinions to be right more than they want the truth. People attach their self-worth to their ideas, resulting any opposing idea to be taken as a direct aggression against them as a person, hence, nothing ever gets resolved and whoever is the loudest/most perseverant with their belief regardless of fact or truth is the one that will receive attention.

i think courts are supposed to do things like this but the country isnt a courtroom

It has been happening all year, but for some reason the media is just picking up on it now. These attacks were brutal, destroyed families, and were caught on video but I don't see them getting any attention on Reddit or Twitter.

I am just trying to shed light to articles aligned with the recent trending topic of preventing violence against Asian Americans. These are good examples with video evidence that could draw more attention to the situation than the few articles that have been receiving more attention.

I have already made comments against the massage parlor murderer, this is a different thread? I literally just told you that guy should be executed.

Would you suggest I purposely ignore articles and try to find ones with White attackers?

Not sure why you are so focused on the race of the attackers here? I want to focus on the cause of stopping violence against Asians. I thought that was what this is about? Are these not situations that are aligned with the cause? They seem similar to me?

Dylan Roofs massacre got more attention than a gangbanger shooting other gangbanger, likely due to the innocence of the victims and the racial motivation. It's not simply due to the race of the attacker.

The black mass shooters who kill innocent people too get media attention (e.g. that dude who shot reporters live on TV, the sniper and his son).

My bad, when I said the articles are getting more attention than these I didn't mean the mass shooting, of course it is. It is extremely tragic,

I was more speaking about the one case where the cucklord got beat up by the lady with the 2x4, or some of the other ones that people are trying to blow up due to the massage parlor tragedy. These were much more violent than some of those imo and I genuinely am curious why the media did not report on these at all when Asians in Chinatown communities have been speaking out about this violence for months (years even).

I do think the media that is part of the reason for my comments around uncertainty on why they didn't get picked up on. However, this cause is something I am passionate about and my true intention is that I hope it doesn't just turn into another movement that people take and use as a vessel for their own agenda.

Too many times you see these types of situations come out where we all have a chance to come together as a community get flipped, used, and forgotten about. Without facts and full transparency in these movements, you deter all of the skeptists, unknowledgeable, and people who generally question medias intentions. These people are needed for true change, if favor is not gained from people who think differently, nothing will ever truly change, we will all just forever bounce between each hateful situation targeting eachother until it dies and the next one replaces it.

I am sorry, mainstream media is currently only displaying one demographic as violent towards Asian. Please put this submission on top of the pile as "Soon to be forgotten".
