You might make it boyo, Looked at the sets and it was nice to get all the different pieces but they're usually lower quality and cheaper in my opinion not hating just keeping it 100 but yeah I usually am pretty good about sharpening the knifes so they aren't terrible by any means but this experience feels like the first time I took my penor and put it in a va jay jay that HNNNNNNGGGGGH warm joocy tingly tight feeling literally riding purple elephants on cloud 9 right now SRS. All about MOGMAXXXING everywhere and anyway possible not gonna lie been srsly cooking for a few years now and Chef's knife is literally all I use with exception of maybe a serrated knife for bread or something like that so I didn't want or need all of that other useless chit in my opinion.

One day boyo, The best is yet to come. I have only just begun, I don't really care much for custom made knifes just want something high quality from a good brand. I am not on that 10k/day ceo time just yet so would rather use that type of money for something more productive. Consumerism is the cancer of our society SRS, if you aren't INCOMEMAXXING and INVESTMENTMAXXXING or BUSINESSMAXXXING it's over son you will die a nameless wage cuck with zero legacy SRS. Also, Still probably better then what you have so while you may not care you aren't even on my level and are just trying to get attention my goal is not to impress people because I do not have the attitude or mindset of a child. I just wanted to subtle brag and let my nuts hang and make some poor jokes and laugh at all the low class mouth breathers. I am miring' that joocy knife though takes lots of skill to make products like that SRS.

Yeah I just use mid tier Japanese knives, not custom handmade by master level American hipsters.

If I was a MOGGER, I'd buy a bunch from Pie Cutlery.

Not mirin' Japanese cutlery at all, SRS. I am western AF so I like rocking the knife when I am cutting not downward stroking so most of the true Japanese style knifes don't appeal to me at all and I also don't make sushi or anything like that were having a Japanese knife would be a flex if I was to buy a Japanese knife though I would probably go Shun I believe they're called from what I can tell they're not full tang either so less balanced and more front heavy which I don't like and is actually lower quality in my opinion because less materialized is used so cheaper to make but getting cucked when you buy them since they're selling you less material for a premium. I would consider this about the highest quality knife you can buy without being custom made or buying into all that Japanese hype which if that's your cooking style fine but beyond that not really buying into it much myself. I almost bought Henckels by accident not realizing it was the poverty lower tier version but the all had Full-bolster and I don't like that the cutting edge doesn't fully extend to the back of the blade and grip wise it doesn't feel good in hand because I was taught the blade pinch technique and that's what feels comfortable to me so having a full-bolster would've sucked especially for sharpening in my opinion so I ended up with Zwilling on sale for the same price I would've paid for Henckels on sale since normally Zwilling is reasonably more expensive then Henckels so I had a great opportunity to snag a top tier knife for the price of the lower quality version when both are on sale. To be fair he got a good deal on a decent knife, I’ve seen a few used in a professional setting. But the misono ux10 is by far the ultimate professional mogger for heavy duty abuse, edge retention, and ease of sharpening.

My masamotos are excessive and works of art, but not as practical, I dislike pure carbon from a line cook / regular use perspective due to discoloring. But they are so fukking crazy sharp.

Purposefully dulled the living chit out of it so it doesn’t get the edge chipped while hacking bodies into tiny pieces.

Got it from a cook I worked with for 40bucks, he didn’t like it cuz it kept chipping on bones, first thing I did was dull it out and still have it 14 years later. Just talked with the guy I bought it from like a year ago and he is on his 3rd cleaver since then. Lol.

Not mirin' Japanese knifes but GJ on owning high quality cutlery SRS. lol at partial tang. Lol at buying Japanese made western style knifes. Not sure if Chinese or Japanese but got a nice room divider and a few cabinets that are oriental themed from when my gmas's sister passed away mother of pearl and jade inlays with handprinted country scenes tranquil as fook and got a decent bonsai tree which is one of my prized possessions. Actually, Just got a majesty palm too since I am on that house plant MAXXXING time.

I actually agree most Japanese western hybrids are not as good as a high quality European smith. But you need to custom order them. They play around with their angles too much. The 70/30 on the misono is however a perfect knife. It doesn’t mess around with stupid things like stainless clad carbon etc.. it’s a very nice Swedish stainless steel. And consistently out performs any mass produced European knife.

Also they are full tang...

Edit: also if you notice it’s the only hybrid style I have, my other brands are single bevel Japanese style. But I worked under several very accomplished Japanese chefs.

Last year I've bought a 300$ Japanese chef's knife fromhttps://japanesechefsknife.com/
It's the Hattori kitchen forums gyuto
It's nice and all, but it doesn't make a big difference. You can do the same sort of work with a 20$ knife...
If you wanna flex on people, let's see your whetstone sharpening skills
