I've been hearing a few people warning about that.

Alex Becker and Guy from Coin Bureau really put it in my face though. Alex - correctly - said that many projects aren't even launched and they have multi-billion dollar market caps, which is ridiculous when looked at objectively. He basically said that the crypto industry still has not matured, yet so many projects are overvalued without having delivered.

Guy from Coin Bureau quoted one of the devs of Polygon/Matic who said that there are 50 devs for 2000 projects in crypto. Basically, there is a massive shortage of good blockchain based developers, and even Polygon/Matic is struggling to keep up with the amount of partnerships due to the lack of good devs.

Also, someone I know online who talks to devs has told everyone, that the devs they spoke to believe summer will be the peak. Though it's to be noted that the devs reasoning was vague... Maybe it's because the small amount of quality devs can't keep up with the work that the industry is demanding?

So maybe we aren't entering the supercycle that everyone has been talking about, simply because the industry hasn't matured yet in regards to quality developers. Only a few projects are 'mature'.


(Note: If anyone has any family or friends who are aspiring programmers, it might be good to advise them to learn Solidity, Substrate, and Haskell. They will probably be in high demand over the next 10 years.)

Well, I don't have a reason why because I can't remember. But I read a while back that quantum computing absolutely isn't a threat and just a meme. Have to look back into it more but I wouldn't worry about it.

Some blockchains will be likely (and are planned) to be able to upgrade to Quantum cryptography.

The threat of Quantum computing is something that devs are aware of (based on what I've read. I've read whitepapers where it's spoken about).

Honestly... I think this will help other other smart contract platforms grab market share from Ethereum.

Uniswap's fee problem won't be solved until May because they've chosen Optimism, and that's if Optimism has a smooth rollout before then with no problems. Now we also have the Optimism delay, so it may not be 'battle tested' before Uniswap V3.

I'm bullish on Pancakeswap.

There's still hope for AAVE, Crypto Twitter has found MATIC code in an AAVE Github release.

Aavegotchi is on MATIC. (I've been reading up on it recently, after ignoring it... IMO a bizarre but genius fusion of DEFI and NFTs.)

Based on my future financial plans, I really want AAVE to go on MATIC in order to use it alongside Aavegotchi.

I've began calculating tax (Tax years in the UK end April 5th - but records and payments aren't due to the following year, Jan 31st), man I might be phucked.

Like the US we here in the UK get taxed for every crypto to crypto trade (if it realizes gains).

This dip might be a good opportunity to offset some gains through Tax loss harvesting.

What do you mean maxes out? You no longer have to declare, or tax free allowance?

We have a £12,300 tax free allowance for 'disposing' (or actualizing) crypto asset gains. e.g. putting profits into USDT.

Successful swing trading or flipping profits will rack up a hefty Tax bill.
Also LOL at reporting EVERY trade.
