I wouldn't buy a PC from there, but a speaker, TV, appliance, phone chit, etc. are all pretty sweet. I forget what I bought, but it was something I had for like 3 years and it broke like a week before the warranty. I took it back and they just handed me a brand new one no questions asked.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not going there all the time, but twice a year I'll get something. I just bought a TV from there and the warranty and service is way better than most places.

Amazon is garbage tier since 2010.

Plus best buy open box policy. I got a 50" tv for $180 that retailed for like $450.

And online ordering then picking it up in an hour is better than wondering when the UPS man will chuck your $1000 electronic at your door.

I still use amazon sometimes but I think the customer service and quality has gone WAY downhill, probably due to such increased demand.

Lol my aunt gave me a $50 gift card from Best Buy for my bday.

I hadn't been to a Best Buy in years, but I went there, and got some headphones for about $25 Sony they're actually good quality for the price.

Still have $25 left on the gift card any one with any recommendations on what to get there in that price range that's worth it?

Another bonus with amazon is depending on the item they refund you and tell you not to bother sending the item back.

Best buy is superior to amazon. With amazon you may or may not get chinese knock offs stating they are real from "legit" sellers too.

Also strong chance of repackaged items where some **** swapped in broken parts.

Amazons return policy is so good it let scammers ruin it.

Some returns cost money if there are internal batteries, i had to pay more then the refund to send it, that was the end of that.

Bought 3 "open box" laptops from best buy in the past few weeks, from satisfacory up to geeksquad certified.

ALL WERE INSTANTLY DEFECTIVE.

best buys sells clearly broken chit as open box. Pissening.

This. Plus I can't see buying a TV without looking at the picture first. Also, Amazon doesn't install car stereos last time I checked.

No, they take a picture after leaving it at someone else's door. I keep finding the neighbor's packages on my step because the driver is too lazy to read the number off the mailboxes...

Walmart and Amazon are giants that want to destroy the rest of the competition and become monopolies. Though very useful you best use them in moderation. Anyways, Best Buy has good quality merchandise.

All the TV's made these days are +1080p or higher. I have a 200$ hisense tv I bought 3 years ago off Amazon. Picture is nearly exactly the same as the 2000 samsung tvs they sell at best buy.

picture quality is marginal difference among tvs in this day and age

Let me aware you how to basically abuse this system.

Gaming keyboard at best buy, they price match first of all. An extra 20 dollars gets me a 2 year warranty that covers anything and everything. I literally go in and say I spilled beer all over my keyboard it's dead. No fuss no muss, replaced for free.

Now sometime before my 2 years is up, I will return the keyboard completely, get a full refund, buy a new one, buy a new warranty, and repeat.

This also makes it so if it breaks, I run to the store and in 30 minutes I have a new one (best buy is close). At most I'm down an hour of gaming versus weeks of waiting for Amazon/manufacturer warranty.

The thing about BB open box items is they will discount according to whatever the price is at the time. So if a laptop is already on sale, the price for the open box item gets deeply discounted in comparison to the retail cost.

I grabbed this 3 months ago for $335..insane specs for the price.
