Monogamy allocates a set of bobs and vagene to every man which gives him incentive to be a good worker bee.
Monogamy socializes sexuality. With capitalist sexuality all the bobs and vagene are belong to Chad and the worker bee wage slave men would lose incentive for productivity.

The Roman writer and intelligence officer Tacitus toured Europe to do a cultural assessment of the people living there for Roman invasion, and this is thousands of years ago. He noted that Germans and surrounding people had extremely strong marriages.
At the time, the Romans had no church and the Europeans had no real religion and some of them could barely talk.
However, the idea that kept them together was mutual dependence. The guy took care of things outside of the house and the woman took care of things in the house. Tacitus said cheating was hated, obviously because it ruins the house and living arrangements.
People have been "married" since before there was a word for it and that's because it's what people naturally do, it's not an invention of some religion.

Mentally broken individuals will seek multiple partners and once they reach a certain age they will yearn for monogamy but by then all the good options will have been taken off of the market.
Countless studies have shown over and over that people are happier with one partner. Men are happier with one wife and kids. Having a family and a wife gives men a sense of purpose. It's what make men go to work and kill themselves. It's so that their families can live a better life. I'm sorry that you and the other like-minded miscers don't get this but it's the truth. Cheating happens yes. It has always happened and will continue to happen because some humans act on their selfish impulses. Some people cheat because they are stuck in a toxic relationship and want out but can't bring themselves to breaking it off. Some people cheat because they are POS. Cheating is not something normal people do. This idea that your significant other shows me that most miscers have trust issues and date the wrong kind of people.
You are what you attract. I'm in a relationship with a loving female and theres not one moment during the day that I tell myself maybe shes cheating on me. I trust her and she trusts me. She knows if she cheats I'm gone and the same is true if i cheat on her. Quit bashing monogamy because you're a terrible human being.

Many young people are heavily influenced by movies and porn.
It used to be that everyone lived with their parents until they got married. Then, movies showed people having their own apartments, moving around, not being tied to anyone, etc. Then, everyone wanted to live like that. James Bond did not go back to stay at his parent's place after the mission was over, nor did he have to call his wife before he stormed the secret base.
Regarding porn, many guys are afraid they will miss out on the next orgy, or not get to "bang an Asian" and so they stay single waiting for these things to happen. A hundred years ago no one was thinking they have to try anal with a redhead and that's why they weren't having kids.
I said in another post that modern life has put of lot of variable into relationships and I am correct.

Ive been with my gf for over 2 years now. we are both faithful. we have our problems and we work through them. not going to lie....there's been some times when we really got down on each other and i was considering breaking it off and going for other women but then i thought about how i used to slay randoms back in college and post graduation and it just wasn't appealing. I'd rather continue building on the foundation that we have been working on. She's started her own business and i'm back in school getting my masters degree. if we stick with each other through the tough times, we will have each other in the best times and we will have a better life than most people because of that. staying faithful isn't easy. that is why most people don't / can't do it. weak minded, and weak willed. If you're single though....go ahead and have your fun. just realize that when you are old and saggy, you will be lonely.

Sloots gonna sloot.
The key is slaying, being fit, having a good job and doing well. Have some kids though as well, look at education in 2021 even if they come from an amazing family all these kids are gonna be f**ked up, doesn't mean they don't wanna live.
I would like the idea of a marriage, but the reality is different. After maybe even 3 weeks i get bored. I've also ****ed close to 500 girls and i'm certain at least half of those were in a marriage or monogamous relationship.
Long term in relationships, no one including my parents are happy, but being a chlldless loser engaging in soy activities is also bad.
slay have kids in developing countries, live your live, make money, thats how you do it boyos.

LOL at Miscers who in serious relationship for 1-2 years in this thread, lecturing about how great relatonships are.
haven't even made it to 7 years yet, haven't seen their wife get obese yet, and still cheat.
Most guys knock themselves off when they find out their wife cheats, and they were clueless to it.

So cope however you want, but that's the way it is. Monogamy is dead. In a couple more generations, marriage will be mostly dead too. There's no escaping it.

Amish are now the ONLY community scientists use for genetic studies since their cuck rate is 1%-2%. Meanwhile, as much as 20% of married "fathers" now are unknowingly raising Chad's offspring. Imagine what that will look like in another 10-20 years.

In one population, they found the cuck rate to be 8%. The highest one was 20% lol. So likely somewhere in between. Either way, jesus christ...

Fun fact: women are naturally predisposed to believing children look like the supposed father (as opposed to looking like the mother), even if he isn't the father. They will almost always vocalize this to the men, too. The working theory is that this is a survival mechanism intended to reassure the cuck that he isn't being cucked, keeping peace in the tribe. Ded srs not making this up.

Guys feel warm and fuzzy knowing they have a home, and still go to the next village looking for hot sloots to bang. You can have both, as history and present time has shown us.
The perfect monogamous faithful marriages on the western world are the exceptions to the rule. If you want them to be the norm, then you better start stoning sloots to death like they do on islamic countries and other cultures where clearly true freedom isnt their goal or priority.

Nobody is arguing that there are not monogamous communities, or that they dont work, that they arent positive for society, etc. You got a bit lost there.
I feel like guys getting this butthurt about it are clearly on the bottom 80% of men, funny thing is that marriage and monogamy was implemented to help those type of men get some pussy and be more productive/motivated, not surprised thats the kind of men that are defending it so emotionally lol.
Ask any rockstar, any famous actor, any famous athlete, any great looking man if monogamy exists, you will be shocked at the answers. You would be surprised how many "monogamous and good" women are willingly sucking these guys dicks behind their bfs/husbands backs. I feel sorry for those that believe that this is a myth, or a tale that doesnt really happen IRL.
Again, ask any truly good looking/high value man, and you will see how aware he is about the true human nature.
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

Yeah actually I think we were
Unpopular opinion time. It’s true we have a biological urge to spread our seed. I don’t deny that.
But it’s also wired in us to connect with individuals on a social level and grow close too.
It’s not just humans who need this connection. Wolves, coyotes, bald eagles, penguins, and beavers all pair bond with another, opposite sex member.
So I think the answer is that it’s a bit of both. In a raw purely sex driven perspective then no, probably not designed to be monogamous.
But it’s not as simple as being driven by a single need. As a whole we do tend to be a species that’s happier pair bonding.
Like I said unpopular opinion and most miscers are going to come in here pointing to the pure biological urge to spread their seed as much as possible as their argument. The reality is it’s not that cut and dry.
Should we have implemented these strict social rules that deny people from exploring on occasion? Probably not. That does go against our nature.
But if you wiped away the rules I’d bet you’d still see people pair off and mate with the same person the majority of their life. Maybe the occasional straying would happen, but the draw would always exist to return to a single person for that need for connection and devotion.
I think that’s what people don’t realize. And I think humans would be equally unhappy just going from one person to the next forever with no afterthought of the previous partner.

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

The dumbasses on this board can't see beyond their own noses.
In extremely ancient times, you had small groups of people trying to stay alive.
You're hungry, you hurt your foot, there's scary animals, etc people were like starving animals and they weren't like "yo I gots to git mah dick wet yall" they were lucky if they could get an erection from being exhausted and starved. So, you needed your people to help you.
That's how love and affection evolved.
You could not be a sociopath in that type of community and environment. You don't "play" people because you were around them 24/7. Plus, some girl's father is not going to let you upset her in front of his face.
If you use some imagination, this is obvious.
Even doing my youth, there were literal "shotgun weddings" that people are too big a pussy to have today. That's where some girls dad and his buddies show and threaten to kill you if you don't marry his pregnant daughter.

study on monogamy:
However, this is hardly a common characteristic of monogamous animals. The Cambridge team argues against infanticide as a cause, therefore, and concludes that monogamy likely began as a way for males to monopolize isolated females. Whenever food competition drove females apart, males ended up defending one female at a time because they could not claim several females at once. Once a male had settled on guarding a single female, the defense of her offspring and provisioning of food were logical extensions.
Nevertheless, many human societies know monogamy, imperfect as the institution may be. This is one of the most important differences between human social organization and that of our closest relatives, the African apes, which lack nuclear families that draw males into offspring care (9, 10). Human monogamy may have evolved for different reasons and under different circumstances than monogamy in the majority of birds and mammals, however. Perhaps monogamy did not evolve in the genetic sense at all, but rather in a cultural sense, because even though some fossils have been interpreted as evidence for monogamy during human prehistory (11), humans and their ancestors are too sexually dimorphic in size to be considered naturally monogamous (12). Because human monogamy is unlikely to have arisen in the context of mutually exclusive female ranges, it appears fundamentally different from, say, the well-known monogamy of gibbons or marmosets, which live in isolated pairs. Several scenarios try to explain the advantages of monogamy within a larger society, one of which harks back to Morris’ (2) proposal that by sexually and reproductively equalizing the men within a community, pair-bonding fosters cooperation (13, 14).
Even if the origins of monogamy in humans are unique, the two analyses discussed here offer a first hint of the conditions favoring the evolution of monogamy, which may help us understand how the human case compares with that of other animals, and which natural tendencies (e.g., bonding, caring) it recruited to arrive at a similar arrangement.

also, i find all these arguments about "nature" interesting. i really don't think we have a fundamental basis as to what is "natural"
but i think we know for certain that modern times aren't "natural"; it's more a question of the origination. ********, tinder, cell phones, dating apps, birth control are not "natural" and modern times would be very hard to compare to old times as a result
not like a cave bish from a small tribe could post up an ad for another tribesman from a tribe far away and he could come see her
These features of social monogamy in mammals are supported by patterns of hormonal function originating in the neurobiology of maternity, including oxytocin, as well as a more primitive vasopressin pathway. Another key feature of social monogamy is reduced sexual dimorphism. Processes associated with sexual differentiation offer clues to the mysteries surrounding the evolution of monogamy. Although there is consistency in the necessary ingredients, it is likely that there is no single recipe for social monogamy. As reviewed here, genes for steroids and peptides and their receptors are variable and are subject to epigenetic regulation across the lifespan permitting individual, gender and species variations and providing substrates for evolution. Reduced sensitivity to gonadal androgens, and a concurrent increased reliance on vasopressin (for selective defense) and oxytocin (for selective affiliation) may have offered pathways to the emergence of social monogamy.

“ Do NOT let this book convince you to try open relationships or polyamory. Monogamy is social technology that allows for healthy family formation and provides the paternity certainty that women need to feel safe and protected in child-rearing and that men need to fully invest in their offspring. Maybe we are not "naturally" monogamous, and this book makes that case, but we also don't "naturally" drive cars or have indoor heating or refrain from killing one another over differences of opinion. I've seen WAY too many modern men and women use this book as a justification for lifestyles that hurt couples and hurt families.
Monogamy ensures that everyone in society gets a partner; with open relationships and polyamory, that structure breaks down because women date across and up dominance hierarchies (like it or not, the science is clear), so in a society that has a lot of low-status men with low earning potential, open relationships and polyamory lead to de facto polygamy because women will flock to the small pool of high-status men. I already see this happening in places like San Francisco. This all runs the risk of devolving into polygamy, and studies show polygamous societies experience more violence, rape, theft, etc as men have existential crises when they can't reproduce and they act out. People, please do not get confused by the cultural milieu. This stuff is bad bad news for all of us.”
