contrary to popular belief they are actually more intelligent than humans, they have bigger brain masses but outnumbered by low IQ retards homo sapiens

Recreations like this are misinformation based on the imagination of the artist because there are no bones for soft tissue. They always give them wrinkly features and flat noses. They likely had long straight noses.

They also try to make neanderthals seem short. Male neanderthal skeletons are 170-180 cm tall. Human males from the same era were 160 cm. If neanderthals were fed a modern diet they'd be 6'4-6'8.

This. Homosapiens were likely just more aggressive and violent, as still is evident today.

Yes human, or most of us wouldn't have some of their DNA in us. Physically superior for sure. Even though shorter, they could run faster than us homo sapiens, had more dense bones, were definitely stronger. They had larger brains but their brains were interconnected differently. No way to confirm they were more or less intelligent. They were around a lot longer than us modern human have been so far. It seems they had weaker immune systems, which could be what made them go extinct. There weren't nearly as many of them when they and us homo sapiens existed at the same time.

If I remember correctly, Native Americans and Northern Europeans have the highest prevalence of Neanderthal DNA.

New evidence some were 175 cm, the same height as modern day American males. That means with a modern diet they would have been 6'4.

They were smarter srs. Homos were much much more social and able to work together, and they used that to their advantage and won out.

They were human and modern humans have genetics in common with them. So, they were able to breed with modern humans a long time ago, and that couldn't happen if it they weren't the same.

It's stupid that people can see the reproduction images and not know that.

If you posted a pic of a white person and a black person NOW they look like two different species. However, they aren't and can have kids. Neanderthals were a type of white person adapted to a cold climate.

The reason they were said to be a different species is because of dumb conclusions from "science". In addition, the Nazis believed that jews were human Neanderthal hybrids. So, there was likely a push to deny that's real and say they're a different species, etc.

If you look at the pics, they are obviously human.

You start the post asking if they were the same which implies you know little about them. 30 minutes later you're explaining differences in brain size and intelligence? lmao

Isn't producing viable offspring who can also reproduce the biological definition of a species? Wouldn't this make them the same species as us?

There are different definitions of "species".

"A species is often defined as the largest group of organisms in which any two individuals of the appropriate sexes or mating types can produce fertile offspring, typically by sexual reproduction. Other ways of defining species include their karyotype, DNA sequence, morphology, behaviour or ecological niche."

Since neanderthals had a distinct morphology, skeletal structure, DNA sequence, and ecological niche they were classified as a separate species. Their behavior was likely different too.

Evolution is a VERY slow process. How long did it take to for "humans" to truly evolve from apes?

Yes.

A long time ago it was thought black and white people were a near species and would have sterile kids, like mules. A donkey and a horse has a sterile mule.

That's where the term "Mulatto" came from. That baby is a "Mule" is what it means. However, that was totally incorrect.

I remember reading that scientists believe the split between African homo sapiens and neanderthals was about 800,000 years ago.

So by these other definitions, different types of modern human could be considered different species.

What are you blathering on about, exactly? Modern science *does* consider neanderthals to be a species, or at least a subspecies (that exact part isn't 100% decided) of "human". Your entire post amounted to a strange attempt at virtue signaling over a totally bullchit premise you suggested.

No, my point was it was thought white and black people were close species and have sterile kids like a donkey and horse. But, they have normal kids, so they are the same species.

Humans are like dogs in that they come in many varieties but are still dogs.

What you wrote there was bizarre.

Two animals can't be a different species if they can have babies that can procreate.

So, I don't care what some person calls Neanderthals. There's no such thing as "Neanderthals" that's a made up term. They were people, they had babies with other people, and that's the story.

Just because some moron gave them a special name and so on means nothing.
