Funny part is that any alien race that has developed technology to travel across a span of light years would be so far ahead of us it wouldn't even be fair. Would ravage us without a fight.

Idk if we’ve been visited or not. If we have I lean more towards them being avatars more so than biological beings. Biological beings would be behind it somewhere though like someone else said, that’s if we aren’t in a simulation. It’s certainly interesting though. If we can’t even get along over different shades of skin color we gon die to some alien overlords.
This body holding me, be my reminder here that I am not alone.
Makes me feel eternal, all this Pain is an Illusion.

Simulations themselves didn't exist until we had computers. That concept itself can be no more than 80 years old. Moreover, to simulate a universe as massive as ours would require it to exist in a universe even larger. For each atom simulated here, you have trillions of atoms devoted to machines that exist there, to run the simulation. The notion has a scaling factor to it that is mind-bogglingly absurd.

Idk I think it could be real and I’m afraid of aliens. I’m scared they will land in my area and invade. I’m almost certain aliens will be hostile and will experiment on us or kills us. The way we do with insects.

I don’t believe at all that our alien overlords will be benign and empathic and helpful. I hope so but I don’t think so. It’s much more likely they will destroy us or experiment on us. I don’t believe life and survival are ultimately driven by good forces of empathy. The essence of survival is much more brutal.

The old gym I used to go to, the owner was convinced that we were put on earth to mine gold for aliens, because aliens ate it for food - and then we got too advanced and just did our own thing.
He said that the governments were aware of aliens, so thats why kids toys /movies/pack lunchboxes were all alien themed and friendly - to get a few generations used to aliens, so when they realised it - nobody was scared and panicked haha. Crackhead..
To be fair though, if they did announce aliens - wouldnt that completely cripple religion? Or would people just be like "BUT GOD CREATED THE ALIENS TO! HE MADE EVERYTHING HE WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS"

Baudrillard guy made it famous in the 80s and long before that ancient greek philosophers have been talking about illusions etc which is an element of a simulation.
Its been talked about in ancient greece, reformation europe, indian, asian mythologies and even semitic mythology (judaism, christianity, islam) has thoughts about this. Actually what they are offering us is a type of simulation (you are in a controlled fake world and will only leave when you die so you can join us and live for an eternity)
You know Im not sure if I should post chitloads of links and treaties to show it didnt start with Keanu Reeves or just simply say "fukcing google that sh.t"
I do not believe it 100% either. But it is equally hard to disprove.

modern sim theory as codified by nick bostrom is just a hypothesis-response to the fermi paradox.
there are like 25 plus different theories
they are generally like:
aliens are hiding
there are no aliens
aliens do not explore the galaxy (all of them decide this independently)
you can think of his as a version of number 1
