So, two people with indiscernible muscle volume and bf level along with b s d strength. One is 15 lbs heavier. Same height, not a riddle lol.
Is such a thing even practical? Where does it start making a difference?
edit: I'm not really sure if height and bf% are factorial but yeah.

And true dat it's correlated I know, but it's absolutely not a physical law for introspective purposes.
It's not really supposed to be examining strength training approaches.

Depends. If you're a fighter or athlete it's advantageous to be lighter (bc weight class). If you're a normal guy it's probably better to be heavier since it makes you harder to knock over.
Kinda weird scenario

How about if they end up in the same weight class though?

Depends on what purpose. For performance, being lighter would be better, more pullups, higher vertical, higher acceleration/velocity, etc. For a street fight, being heavier and more dense would be better, more weight behind the punch, hardter to knock down or push around etc.
Id take being heavier solely for the reason of having a higher metabolism lol. Thats like an extra 400 calories to your daily caloric needs, thats like 2 poptarts son

The Chinese team "bodybuilding work" differs from that of other teams in that they do stuff like weighted pullups and train muscles like the biceps more, which are traditionally valued in bodybuilding but not so much in weightlifting.

Heavier guy will be harder to knock down.

Not relevant to OP though because he's saying that person A and B are identical except for body weight.

Assuming same technique, same strenght, same reach, the only difference would be weight and speed which are directly correlated.
Would a guy, say, 185 pounds, would be 7.5% faster than a guy that is 200 lbs? I dont think so, i dont think speed and weight are 100% correlated proportionally but i may be wrong, as fighting science is not my thing lol.
Maybe the lighter guy is 1% faster, but is that 1% extra speed gonna make up for the 7.5% extra weight behind the punch?
