Because you are too fukking stupid to figure this out on you're own, I will help you out... A HIPAA violation would be if a health care provider divulged information without the patient's consent. Your employer requiring YOU to show proof is NOT a HIPAA violation.

Yes, that's pretty much it. The card was blank and they filled it out when I gave my ID, then handed me the filled out card to bring with me to get the shot. I got the card right in the front of the store, and the shots were in the back near the pharmacy. Nothing would prevent you from heading toward the line and then walking out the door with your card. I don't think they would even notice.

Yeah man, do the CVS thing, it would be super easy.

I went to CSV and actually got the vaccines, but I didn't really feel like I needed to. But I don't really care too much either way to be honest.

Is it any surprise that OP is willing to kill/hospitalize his coworkers and their loved ones?

It would only be right for your employer to abandon you, like you're abandoning your dog.

Sick fukk.
When Trump faces a reality she can't stand, she becomes highly emotional and illogical. Every crisis is met by histrionics, tantrums and an inability to deal with facts. "Its a HOAX! Its a FRAUD!"

The emotion then becomes the reality. Those of us with girlfriends are familiar with this phenomena. Donald Trump menstruating 24/7: "Blood coming out of his eyes, blood coming out of his WHEREVER."

OP i’m gonna be dead ass honest with u

if u live in a “right to work” state like me, we’re prob fked unless we can pull that CVS chit some posters are talking about above and get the card and then just walk out with the card and not get it

But being in a right to work state, literally any place could get rid of u for not taking the vaccine if they wanted to and they could just lie and say it’s for some other reason and there’s literally no way u could prob fight it

but fk it, I’m still not getting it and I’ll walk out immediately on any employer that tries to force that chit on me

Unfortunately, yes they can. That's the unfortunate state of affairs of wagecuckery in the US.

Talk to any employment lawyer and the employer can definitely fire you if they want you to take it and you refuse to.

Because panic-cels these days have stepped out of line and think they are entitled to more information than they really are. My point in bringing up HIPAA rights was that under that act, you aren't even required to provide them with that information. They can ask - actually says it right on the HIPAA website - but they are not entitled to it. To keep asking and harassing an employee for information they are not entitled to may not be a HIPAA violation, but it probably violates some other law by virtue of the fact that they are pushing for him to divulge information protected under HIPAA.

Hope that clears it up.

Yes they can let you go easily over ‘something else’. You need a paper trail, recordings and to talk to a lawyer ahead of time to prove things were fine and they valued you until you wouldn’t get the injection. Be smart about it and set it all up ahead of time so it’s known by more people than just you.

Technically this should fall under hipaa laws I’d think but there’s been several accounts of this so I’m not sure where we stand on it. They shouldn’t be able to even ask.

Again, you aren't understanding how HIPAA works. Seeking information from the individual isnot protected under HIPAA. A medical provider divulging information without consent from the individualis a HIPAA violation(but only on the part of the medical provider, so even then the employer would be fine lol).

Hope that clears it up.

We're saying the same thing, you're just being intentionally obtuse, obstinate, or both.

The only part we're disagreeing on, that I don't see anywhere in HIPAA, is that he as the user and not the provider has to divulge his medical history if asked. I'm no lawyer, but I would think it'd be an easy bridge to build in a case that if HIPAA says your medical history cannot be handed out by your provider without your consent, then you wouldn't have to give consent if they were soliciting you directly either, i.e. - he can decline to comment.

Like i've said before, the little card they give you with the vaccination is not meant to count as proof of vaccination status, it was originally meant to be a reminder for people who were receiving two dose shots to return for their second dose.
People just turned it into a proof of vaccination because nothing else was available at the time.

Most states nowadays have a central immunization registry where providers will send the info of people they vaccinate. The NY vaccine passport for example, pulls info from the states immunization registry and displays it in a mobile app. If you show up to a venue that requires the passport with a piece of paper while everyone else is scanning their apps, you're not going to be able to get in.

If you show up to CVS and take the paper and leave without getting the shot, the pharmacist will not log you in the registry and you will have just wasted your time. If you fake the vaccine by printing a card, it may work with your employer for the time being, but in the event of a govt backed vaccine passport you'll be fukked.

They can threaten you all they want. They can fire you. But they can not force you to take that shot.
I’d say that most healthy people will never take that shot so that means they got to fire 50%? Of the workforce.

Damn. What about all the drive thru vaccines they’re doing at churches and sh!t? There’s a nurse there entering all this info into her computer?

I don't think they would even notice.
Mine didnt do that. They filled it out in the room when he was getting ready to poke me.
