My gym was only open for about a month in the last year. All 12 years of gains gone. I have the body of a 60 year old now. Sad times.

I'm putting my own paddle board aside now that the end is in sight. 40 days I can deal with. June 7th. I feel so disconnected with my own life. Before this my life had such discipline, and it felt good. Now I'm soft. I can't even see my six pack, but I can bench more. wtf is that about, you may ask. My hunch is that my body is transforming into a bloatlord. You know those are the dudes who go hardest at the gym. I'd like being with a bloatlord, but I don't know about becoming one myself.

Well the nasty private gym has been open fully since March, but I was just too spoiled by the fancy gym to be happy in such a low rent spot. There was one fukking squat rack and it wasn't worth going there because there was always someone on there. I don't hold it against them for being poor, but I do hold it against them that they had half the floor space devoted to cardio and one damn rack. I like to take up a squat spot for a long time because I have to hit my glues from 600 different angles and that takes time. I ended up slinking back home, miserable.
The university gym had a strict time limit that I fukking hated so much that I just couldn't. They had to make announcements over the loud speakers constantly, "You have a half hour. You have fifteen minutes, and so on." I could never sink into my vibe and feel the burn. It wasn't worth going because of the changes. Once I tried to drag a bench over, a pretty standard thing, that's why they have wheels ... some grad instructor comes up and says I can't do hip thrusts with a bench as moving the equipment like that spreads covid. uuuUUHhAGGARAG! So pissed.
But now it's over! Wheeeeeee!

I know exactly what you mean, but we both can get back into it. I'm literally buying baggy gym clothes because it's that bad. Actual cellulite. I got a misc shirt the other day on Amazon! Hilarious. Hope to see a few of you clowns at my gym now that I'll be wearing a handy dandy label distinguishing me as a miscer.
Anyway, Idgaf about the cellulite in the pool, I'm going to cannon ball into that pool like a little kid! But out on the main gym floor, I can't believe it but I'm too shy to wear my usual sport bra and tight pants. I'm looking forward to shredding that fat off. I wonder if I should go hard with the cardio or do anerobic lifts mostly. MIght be a nice time to get some gains.

Reps on recharge. This is the best news ever. No more sneaking to my ex's instagram. No more covid things. Just a big open gym filled with light and music. I remember all my old machines. The lat machine that squeaks. The captain's chair that the gym staff keep moving. The nice big 10 lb bumper plates I like to load up because it makes me look like Godzilla when I'm lifting 40 lbs. Lol! I spent so much time in quarantine searching for things like weight plates. Now that I actually know what things like that cost, I'm going to feel very wealthy striding into my gym again. It's worth millions. Probably the best gym in the misc, srs. I guess I hadn't realized how much going to the gym was a part of my identity until it got stripped away. There's this HUGE empty parking lot that I like to rollerblade in. I nearly spent 350$ on a fat bike so I could ride through fields and what not. Now I can just get a cheap bike and be good.

Zones are when you sign up for an area and then are not allowed to leave it. So let's say you want to do 15 minutes of warm up, you'd have to sign up for the cardio zone, and then you get kicked out after an hour. So you couldn't just go from cardio to the bench press.
Cardio, strength, track, pool, all separate. You get one hour in a zone of your choice. Trouble is that the strength training zone had only 20 spots, and they would fill up in 5 minutes or less. So if you fukked up and forgot, you'd lose your spot to some lil 19 year old chip munk who spent all day humping his phone and waiting for the registration to open (I kid I love those guys, just not when they're taking my spot). If I forgot for even ten minutes, poof. Full. It got to be where I'd have to be seriously dialed in. The whole vibe of the work out was also different because of the constant announcements. If I ignored them the staff would have to throw me out and I felt like a degenerate.

No, I really believe them this time. They promised it was June 7th. If they take it back I will lose my isht. But they won't. Just 40 days. That's it. Then it will all be okay again, I mean after I get back into shape.

It's been a saga of sh!t. I was in denial forever because I thought, hey I can just adapt, but I got checked no matter what I did. I look back at some of the moves I tried ... Imagine how silly, sneaking to my car to change my outfit. A disguise! lol. That didn't work. I thought if I wore non descript clothes and had my face covered I was basically invisible. I hate that it end up with me feeling like the dog that pissed the carpet, know what I"m sayin?
I wasn't trying to be a trouble maker, I just felt like I purchased more hours of gym time and then they started to go back on the deal we had. I wore the damn mask even way more than most people and I was very clean. But they didn't want me to be a disease vector. Hate that feeling. I felt so constricted. I used to like to roam the whole gym.

My home town has a 3 week lockdown that has went on for 8 months now. My siblings havent been able to go to gym for a year now

We went from unlimited gym with masks, to 50 at a time with masks and an appointment on the app, to shutting down again on Friday

All over 325 total covid hospital patients in the entire state of Oregon

Some parts are, but things really aren't normal yet. I hate that India is suffering like it is. It's a very cosmopolitan, global crowd at my amazing, delightful, oh so wonderfully soon to be open gym. Folks from all over. I don't know how long the mask thing will go on though and that could be a huge issue. I thought I was going to die a few times. Then I heard that it could actually be bad for you. ugh. I'll wear the mask if I can have my area back.

Update, they decided to open a few days earlier than projected. It's now on for June 1st. I await the return of Jim like a dewy-eyed bride.
