Any price difference after-hours isn't reflected in options until next market open so you gotta wait to see profits I believe.

Alrighty just gonna post all my updates here. Ignore if you don't care lol. Time to try and fix my ****ups. I'm just gonna post my plays here everytime I do something cause I wanna document my stupid/good plays.

Up 70% from XLF puts. Exited half my position and gonna leave half for later in case it goes back down
Bought some SOXS and PSQ calls to hedge against VOO and CRM. CRM calls down $800 atm.

Will probably enter $GS call near later today. I'll update post if I do.

Exited some regular long positions for more capital. Going VERY aggressive on options play.

Currently working with:

Hey, Guys. Quick question. Maybe, It's just because I have low option level approval or I am generally unfamiliar with some of the more complex aspect I believe I can only do puts and calls SRS. To me it seems like they require a large amount of capital to secure your options so how are people making money with options SRS. For instance if contracts on average are 100 shares and say the company is worth 100$ a share you'd need 10k just incase you got assigned or somebody exercised their option I have seen some debit spreads and things like that but all around I understand the core concepts of paying premium or selling premium and all that but when I actually try to execute options I feel retarded SRS.

As a background I have technical and general analysis down for stocks and precious metal..etc so not totally retared SRS.

gj brah. I'm really curious to see how this ER plays out. Every single ER, except last one with the special div announcement, it rocketed (huehuehue) and then erased all gains the next day(s). There may be more money to be made, but taking profits is never a bad thing. If it closes the week out <$24, I will take in $7500 in premiums, but obviously the underlying will probably take a hit, but I will just either open up weeklies or aim for 6/18, depending on which has the most IV.

For that thetagang site can I not edit my trade and change the quantity? The only option I see is to change the price which is lame. I'm assuming you have to keep opening new trades? You also can't delete a trade if u fuked up huh?

GS call is printing! Aiming for $360 PT then gonna trim.

yeah it's kind of limited which is a pain, but I've learned to manage. For instance, if I buy 10 calls and plan to close them ALL only then will I input all 10 on one entry. If I know/think I will close out some out here and there, I enter them individually. OOOOORRRRRr I had a situation with CSPs where I wanted to close some out, but wanted to let the rest expire. So I closed them out on Thetagang at a $0 profit/loss amount, then re-opened individually. Same thing with a trade that I went full dyslexic on, just closed it out at $0 p/l and re-entered.

Again, it can be a pain, but its worth it to me have a solid log like that available for reference. And accountability.

Gotcha. This site could be so much better with a few simple updates. Is it new or just lack of dev support? Either way, I'm sure it'll get those updates in the future because they are a no brainer.

I should've just sold naked calls. But get this chit...

So going into all of this I had 5/7 $24cc and $25cc, that as of this morning were $.02.
I opened a set of 5/7 $21cc, and 5/14 $21cc

the 24 and 25 cc's were 100% going to be worthless, and STRONG chance that the 21cc would be as well, so really just leaving the 5/14 in play which is covered by my leaps.

I get a call from TDA saying I'm in breach of blah blah blah because of concentrated exposure. I said "look, 99% chance all of the 5/7 short positions will expire worthless tomorrow..." before I could even finish the ******* goes "YOU DONT HAVE UNTIL TOMORROW!" I closed the $24/$25 and then went on to the 5/7 $21, and he piped in "you only need to close 70 (out of 200)" but I replied "all or nothing man. I thought portfolio margin was based around risk assessment through likelihood of strikes being met. If your system thinks we will see an 8% increase by tomorrow, I got some bad news." He just repeated the same chit he said at the beginning lol.

Going to keep selling calls at or above $.25 premiums on weeklies (whatever the strike is, and if it looks like it will hit, then I will just roll). Going to require a lot of management, but this could be very lucrative.

Damn, you dealt with a dick. I've talked to TDA multiple times and they're all so fukin nice. Last time I was getting margin called I hit them up to extend it since I didn't wanna sell anything and he straight up told me not to worry about it, they won't liquidate anything unless it was a crazy big amount. I was only like $1,000 in the call so it was w/e, next day I was out when everything went back up.

Do you use margin by any chance? If so, you can ask them to lower your margin rate for ya, I'm sure you already know that. Same goes for option contracts.

Totally. I’ve dealt with them from general questions, margin questions, and tax questions. Everyone has been cool. This guy was just a potato.

I don’t use margin per se, but have portfolio margin. Thing is, all of those positions were going to expire worthless, but if it shot up for some reason they act like I’d be fukked. It would have to hit $25 by next Friday for me to be at a 100% loss. And like I wouldn’t be able to roll out or something. Whatever it t will just be a grind doing it week by week and not being able to front load a week ahead I guess

Ahhh I remember awhile back I heard Heaney mention something about portfolio margin as well but that was when I just started getting into investing so I didn't really know much. Btw, how much do you have to pay for each contract? I asked them to lower it and they're gonna get back to me with a cheaper fee.

My friend that got into MVIS and OCGN when they were in the dollar range just found his next big stock. $MARK. Gotta do some DD on it to see if I wanna yolo a 1 year+ hold. Just thought I'd mention it if someone wanted a yolo long term play lol

Portfolio margin is tits. And I could’ve gotten by with the exact same dollar amount and exposure IF it wasn’t concentrated on one stock. Oh well.

It’s $.65 per contact I believe?

Since you have large option activity email them through the website to lower the fee. Say you wanna get it down to like $.30. You most likely won't get that but you'll get a lower fee than $.65 for sure.

I saw your message, Thank you very much. It feels like I understand it but theres some disconnect from understanding the concept and actually being able to apply it and I haven't been able to figure out why like I mentioned I understand the general concepts but I can't figure out how to actually use them I guess.

Will check out!

Put in some $31 5/14 PLTR calls (YOLO) and even more $19 PLTR 5/14 puts yesterday. They both swinging hard cause think the market doesn't know what to do, but I am thinking the $19 puts are gonna be where its at after earnings.

Also put in quite a few GME $60 puts for 6/11. Tried to go lower, but couldn't find any for a good price. The irrational exuberance has to die at some point, right? Also fingers crossed for a some regulatory action.

The $31 call was .03 and I only bought 100 Ks, so pretty cheap YOLO. I think the $19 put is realistic.
