Bro sometimes you just do what you have to do as no choice is available. Sure everyone would like that financial freedom but most dont get it and its ok atleast they get to have shelter, food and clothing. Wagie here doing an IT job that allows me to save some, spend some on my hobbies and other expenses.

So OP, what do you do for a living? And if you're not working a full time job, what are you doing with yourself?

There is another way. Create a business that builds residual income. Software comes to mind in my field. So do something extraordinary......else slave your way at a cubicle job and waste away your life.

I think you mean YOLO into meme stonks / crypto and retire at 30 on the back of some speculative mania-fueled wealth transfer, that seems to be all the general public is interested in nowadays

Going to go out on a limb here and say not having to live under a bridge and eat out of garbage dumpsters can be pretty good motivation for some people.

This is exactly my reaction. Unless OP is just horrible at articulating his point, he just sounds like his life has been a failure up to this point, and he wants everyone else to be brought down to his level of laziness and lack of ambition.

If that's not his point, he really needs to clarify. Because I've had hippie friends in the past that sound just like him, never comprehending the fact that people want to leave a legacy and money for their children, grand children etc.

Nobody is forcing you. Go out and live in the woods like humans are โ€œsupposedโ€ to do if you want.

Nothing wrong with wageceling it, but if you want out of the rat race but dont even take steps to leave, your a cuck. Miscers here talking about not being homeless is their motivation for being wagecels, but thats only acceptable if you actually like your job, or you have exhausted the viable options to you for getting out of the wagecel life.(if thats what you desire).

IMO if you donโ€™t enjoy your work or are taking steps to pursue something you enjoy, youโ€™re doing it wrong. The dream of retiring early/young is misguided in my mind, but finding rewarding work definitely isnโ€™t.

Most humans are too dumb to get great jobs and thus work 89% of their waking lives and get fat and miserable.

I always LOL hard when the younger college women that blow me off get to the real world and realize their psychology degrees are completely useless and then work in a cubicle for $40k a year at most. Within 1 year they gain 15 lbs and I see the life leave their eyes. The wall comes soon after.

This is why I like 19-21 yr olds the most.

Idk, I'm a federal employee now, so it's not too bad - though of course I'd much prefer to be rich and not need to work.

I've worked some absolute shyt jobs in the past though, and boy does that make for an unhappy existance.

If you love what youโ€™re doing then you look forward to it daily. If you dread going into work daily, itโ€™s time for a job/career change.

They will never realize it's all to COPE with their meaningless existence and the fact that they are just a cog SLAVING away for somebody who will gone on to die leaving zero remnants of their existence for they have done nothing with their PATHETIC lives.

This.

Don't buy that fancy car. Don't get a huge mortgage. Don't buy expensive clothes or jewelry. etc
I bet if most people did that they could get by on a lot less than what they currently make.

That's cool but you do not support your family, your chosen master does.

Without a master, you and your family would be in a gutter.

These are the choices:

1. Live in the woods.

2. Suck a dick.

3. No.

I'll take a number 3 please.
