I am a BSc in Computer Science with an offer for Medical School.

I will say it is two reasons with the second being the biggest:

a) Obviously, CS/Physics are solitary sciences and don't require human interaction unlike medicine/dental medicine who have it as part of clinical. So it would draw people who are not that social more. But I would say Biology is the same as Physics/CS in that nature.

b) Where the biggest difference is that Biology BSc or PhDs / Medicine / Dental Medicine have A LOT more women as a percentage than Physics/Comp Science. This by default allows you to be around more girls. This applies to Law and Finance as well.


Obviously, this assumes your social skills are at least average and you are at least average in looks. Comparing a very good-looking Comp Sci guy with an ugly med student is stupid because the "more girls around you by default" probably won't compensate as long as the Comp Sci guy is social (= hangs out with friends from other degrees, goes to parties etc).

Agreed completely. My BS is in computer science as well. Definitely a few social butterflies there, but most were the stereotypical awkward/greasy/introverted nerds who always wanted to stay in.

Plus the department was 5% women. When I started taking pre-dental courses, it was like 60-70% women.

Went to electrical engineering grad school. There was 1 girl in my department: she was married, had a deeper voice than I do, and carried a full size 45 to class in her waistband.

There were 5 male US grad students including me. Two of us were completely incel, one was dating a female-incel type PhD at another school and drove 150 miles to pork her on weekends, one had a long distance gf, and one was on a 3 year dry spell.
