That second sentence is hilarious, though.

Here's one tip I found out - When you're at the citadel, bring up the map ... When it comes up, the legend highligts people in areas that you can hand in your quests or the "terminal" you need to go see. It's not a complete solution, but it's a lot better than aimlessly walking around or resorting to google constantly.

That’s why I gave up on sp games cuz it was all googling most of the time

Credit where it's due, I dont think any dev has tried that sort of thing with an rpg as intricately as Bioware tried to do it. Maybe if EA had stopped EA, and Bioware had more time we might have gotten an ending that would have been pretty amazing and make our choices more varied/meanginful.
Maybe an extra year or 2 might have helped them achieve their actual vision, idunno lol. It's a shame Bioware turned to chit after that.

Don't have much hope for a happy ending in 3 either. But I'm too invested in the story and characters to not finish it.
Plus literally almost every female in the game, including non human ones, is easy on the eyes. That helps too. Wish they did CDPR style romance scenes.Cot dayum just want to see Miranda and Liara's boobies so damn bad.

Fk that ending. Even the "good" ending is garbage. Got damnit man, I just wanted to live happily ever after with my hot fking alien girlfriend Liara after saving the entire mother****ing galaxy from extinction.
God damnit man.
Amazing story telling. Great characters you that you truly grow to like and care about. Great world/universe they created. Wow, seriously ...great **** all around BioWare. I'm glad I got to play all three games back to back like that. They did a fantastic job with making this big story story so good and interesting across all three games.
But after how incredible all three games were in soooo many ways...fk the ending.
God damnit man.

I'm 60hours in and still doing random side stuff in Mass Effect 2, so much content, i think a lot of what im doing is DLC though.
Kasumi and Mordin are my favourite characters.
Wish you could romance Kasumi though, hnnng

After getting a PS5 I've got so much on the damn list since I never played all the PS exclusives. Going to finish the Uncharted series and then throw this in next.
Remember playing Mass Effect 1. Crazy it was back in 2007. Beat the game but have ZERO memory of what happened so it's like I'm playing it from scratch. Never played the others.
Notice they threw the DLC in. Is there a way to differentiate what's DLC and what's main story when you're playing?

I'm just assuming every side quest that has length is DLC at this point.

Not too much of an issue though. I'd rather have more gameplay than less. Not going to be one of those gaming nerds who just finds a reason to complain just for the sake of it.

Considering theres like 40+dlc i assume most of them are just short missions or weapons / armour and a few characters for your squad.

Was playing ME2 last night and damn it feels so good playing it. ME1 blew me away with how well they remastered that but ME2 is on a whole new level. Just recruited Mordin and the whole universe just feels so fleshed out. Miss this age of RPG's.

Lol @ *******s who blazed through ME1 in a few hours. I'm like 25 hours in and only just finished Noveria quest.
My few complaints so far:
Anything involving driving the Mako especially when it comes to finding those fuking deposits. I hate the vehicle controls and the frustration of scaling mountains.
Also there should be a toggle to let a map show on the screen during exploration instead of having to go through the menu every fuking time.
Many side missions are repetitive and I'm losing interest. It's mostly a bunch of go to planet, enter mine or facility (that look the same), clear hordes of something, loot and return.
Also, I wish worlds you could land on were more diverse. Maybe some trees and wildlife. They are all so extremely similar.
The main missions are quite fine though and while not the best story I've played so far, I quite like the lore and dialogue. And the story certainly is pretty good for its time. Combat is still kinda awkward but I'm okay with it.
So against today's standards, overall so I'll give ME1 solid 6 but keep in mind I probably have alot more to go before the end.

I should be done with the game tomorrow. Man what an amazing ride, I havnt gamed liked this in months ... Just pure rotting and putting in as much hours as I can because the games were too fkkin good and addictive. Also completed the Citadel DLC, goddamn that was so good ... Never got to play Citadel and most of the dlc's in my original playthrough so these were all brand new to me.
We'll never get this peak bioware ever again. However, with the Mass Effect 4 tease last year, and the legendary edition out this year ..... I wonder if this means that we can get all our saves from Mass Effect 1-3 to carry over to ME4 ..... I have no hope, but somehow if Bioware can pull it off..... o lawd.
Time to go back and revisit a couple goat youtube videos that talked about ME3
Spoiler!

I started out the Citadel DLC without realizing in ME3, and that locked me into the DLC with no way to get out of it and I had a few party members I hadnt recruited which apparently show up if you progressed enough in the story ... So I had to reload to a save 2 hours back in order to make sure I had the most optimum experience, but even then I somehow managed miss one party member for some reason (should have been a bit more thorough in my reading), but I didnt care too much about that party member and still had a great time with the rest of the cast.

In ME3 someone will you give you an apartment, basically do not visit that apartment because that starts the citadel dlc and you can hold it off until you do more missions. If you want, just bump the thread again when you're playing ME3 and you feel like you're near the ending then we can advise you whether you should start the dlc or hold off until you've reached the point of no return.
Though I think you can still play ME3 after the point of no return because the game should make it clear you're at that point. If you want to do the citadel dlc, you can even after you finish the game because the game loads up prior to starting the end game portion, but just as the guides reccomended, I felt like the citadel dlc flowed better if you do it right before the end game, than doing it after.

Did all but 2 side quests in ME1. Also, didn't get all the collectibles, fuk that.
Started ME2 tonight and I'm just on the beginning tutorial. So far I notice a nice jump in graphics and smoothness of combat. I chose Infiltrator this time instead of soldier because I heard it's the sniper class and I'm just a natural sniper.
The main reason I made this post is to HNNNNNGH @ Miranda because she looks like the sexiest TV show actress I've ever seen, Yvonne Strahovski

I better be able to smash. Sorry Liara.

Finally done with the entire trilogy. Think I went upto about 53 hours in ME3 .... What a ride, although I started getting burnt out near the ending of ME3 and left aside a couple fetch missions that weren't too important. Now to wait until Ratcher and Clank releases in June 11th.

Do you guys who replayed it still hate the ending of ME3?
I remember being one of the few who didn't mind it. It negated a lot of the prior games but imo that's kind of how journeys go sometimes. I'm not saying it was a masterpiece by any stretch, but I wasn't going to sperg out on the internet about it.

Not reading anything because I started glimpsing spoilers ITT.
Just reporting back to talk about the massive upgrade the ME2 is from ME1
I haven't done many missions yet, I like to take my time with everything but the game play improvements I like:
(no story spoilers)
1. Changing the look and color of your default armor. Your own room which you can customize. Also much deeper Codex that gives you lore about the world as you discover things.
2. Larger ship that has more areas yet a better layout and elevator that tells you what each level has.
3. Combat is much less buggy (taking cover and shooting). Leveling skill points is simpler and better. Tons of various abilities and buffs that affect the whole team. Seems to be less looting and more buying what weapons and upgrades you want.
4. Side missions seem more varied and the side mission planets seem less generic and boring.
5. Thank God they got rid of the Mako driving missions, my least favorite part of part 1. Thank God they got rid of having to manually look for deposits and anomalies.
6. While galaxy map starts off more confusing (lol @ fuel) at least each cluster is labeled with the associated mission so you can just go directly to the place you want to.
7. Story mission worlds are nicer and more complex with more NPCs. I like this version of the citadel more, even if it may be smaller it's still more interactive and livelier.
8. I only discovered 3 new team members and haven't used them yet but they seem more dynamic and interesting than before. Squad mates seem to be more about who you like and what abilities and buffs they have. I stuck with the same crew in ME1 and I'm definitely sticking with Miranda in this game but it's obvious that ME2 is trying to encourage you to switch team mates up more.

It's crazy how well ME1 holds up being 14 years old...feels like it's one of the best games I've played in recent memory, despite already having beat it in 2007.
I don't think I've ever replayed a game I've already beat and been this into it.
Really a testament to how well crafted these games are.
On this second playthough being much older I'm really noticing how well crafted the writing/world building, sound, camerawork, and core gameplay is.
This game was really ahead of its time.

Getting deeper into Mass Effect 2, letting it drag.
Had no idea there was no going back in ME 1 to complete side quests, I had a lot of UNC missions I never did. Tried to go back and complete and it just brought me to the final Saren boss fight. I was like "Fuk it" and fired up ME2. So good to be back, what a game. Going back to Omega and just reliving this is every bit as good this time around.
