Should have said, fish went back. Kept a couple small ones because one was injured.

I only keep them around 5 lbs. The big ones lay eggs. If everyone keept them there would be no more fishery. Plus with pike, the big ones can taste a bit off. otherwise the small ones are delicious.

And ya, am beardmaxxing I guess. Wife keeps threatening to shave it in my sleep. .

Grounds for divorce right there lol

Fuark. Always mirin bro. Real sustainable, making sure there's enough for everyone. Reminds me of when the Plains Indians would hunt buffalo - killing only what they needed and using every part of the animal.

Lol, I have a bayliner 175. Great starter boat but as the kids are growing I'm succumbing to the 2 foot-itis and hope to upgrade soon.

I see stuff on here sometimes that gives me ideas, and makes we want to try new things. Hope it motivates or inspires people even a bit to get out and enjoy all things outdoors.

I have two questions for OP.

1. Why aren't you filming this and putting it on youtube? People absolutely love watching wildlife outdoor catch and cook videos. One of my favorite youtube channel is Fisherman's Life. People with a decent subscribers amount literally make 200k a year minimum. Bigger channels legit create millionaires. You're sitting on a potential goldmine. Srs.

2. Tell me what exotic animals you ate and what they tasted like in a detailed description. Bear meat? Beavers? Other animals? i want to hear it!

I started the channel this spring. Have another video close to ready to drop. I need to figure out how to get it more views. 170 subs isnt much.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQz...E0a9rTDRVZiTPw

i have had bear, beaver, etc. Its all great! And in part two or three of my life on the trapline video we butcher and eat beaver and other stuff, and you can see reactions from the group participants. Video 1 is up there already.

Actually it was misc who convinced me to buy a camera and film. I owe you guys that.

Brahs at the top of the thread click Thread Tools -> Subscribe to this thread. You won't lose it then. Plus, whenever there's a post it shows up in your CP. That's how I keep up to date with Trapperbrah's wilderness shenanigans.

I found a few of those in late summer/early fall playing in canals while I was growing up. Never saw a 4-incher, the ones I saw were 2.5 to 3 tops - still a pretty big bug.

When I was around 10 I caught one and brought it home and stuck it in our fish tank to keep it for a while. Had no idea what it ate until one morning it had one of the neon tetras from the fish tank in its pincers. Whoops. Think I just let it go after that.
