There's a few like that, like HEX and WISE.

HEX being the biggest and best performing, and WISE being available on both ETH and BNB.

I honestly don't know what you mean by 'believing in'.

What I do know is that everyone said the origin address of HEX would rug pull, and it hasn't happened. (I think the OA was a contingency plan by Richard, in case the project failed.)

I also know that HEX launched during a bear market, and thrived during a bear market. I also believe that the upcoming new smart contract platform Richard and his team are creating has potential.

His talks online are also based, even though he can be an egotistical dick at times. First guy I came across who said that Bitcoin has had 2 inflation bugs, and calls out the market/industry for being about exactly what HEX is about "number go up".

Hex already has a marketcap of 8 billion. Whats the risk reward of your trade here , investing in a scamster? If you are investing in a scam atleast have a proper R:R brah.

I wonder why it doesn't even appear in top 200 coins or still not listed in any half decent exchange? Richard heart is up there with other snake oil salesmen in crypto..

What exactly does HEX do that the already existing coins don't do that you see potential in a already pumped ponzi scheme coin?

Do you know how HEX works?
What exactly does HEX do that the already existing coins don't do that you see potential in a already pumped ponzi scheme coin?
There's no such thing as a unique crypto, so that's a redundant question. Bitcoin and ETH aren't unique. HEX was the first time locked crypto.

In case you don't know, you gain interest by time locking your HEX. You can see how long people have time locked their HEX for. There's a penalty for withdrawing before you agreed upon time, and you lose a significant amount of your stake.

It's not different to BTC. The more people who buy, the more the price goes up. HEX doesn't do anything unique, and neither does BTC (there's better tech than BTC out there, as a cryptocurrency).

HEX copies are AXXion (wouldn't touch that personally) and WISE (solid and fair launch, but doesn't have a good marketing vision like HEX does. They are pretty bad at it.)

Yep... Like most of DEFI (and Bitcoin's 'store of value' marketing is based on exactly the same premise).

Honestly, I used to believe it was different, please take a step back and really look DEFI. Most it is just a ponzi. I respect that Richard is blunt about it "number go up, based on game theory", whereas the DEFI crowd try to pretend as if current DEFI is not a giant ponzi of staking and yield farming platforms.

Yes there is. Its called adoption, and reliability. BTC and ETH have em. Most of the rest don't.
In case you don't know, you gain interest by time locking your HEX.

It's not different to BTC. The more people who buy, the more the price goes up.

Adoption isn't fuelling BTC's price. BTC has 'number go up'.

ETH and BSC has better adoption. (Transaction volume significantly outweighs BTC.)

If adoption and reliability was the reason why BTC's price is what it is, then ETH and BNB should have a higher market cap, because they have high transaction volume.

They don't - despite having high transaction volume than BTC - so how do you explain BTC having a higher market cap, if according to you price is based on adoption and reliability?

I wish more crypto peeps were more objective. I openly acknowledge that most of crypto are glorified ponzis, and I hold some glorified ponzis in my portfolio. Why lie?
Nothing like Bitconnect.

Bitconnect lied and said that it had a 'trading bot' that was providing the profits to pay investors, however it was just taking from Peter to Pay Paul.

What gives HEX value is exactly what gives BTC value, which is people are willing to buy and hold (HEX adds an incentive to HODL through a penalty).

Please try to be objective...

What makes BTC a store of value is that it's price increases in accordance (or above) inflation. What makes it's price increase? More people buying and holding, than more people selling.

Please explain to me how that's any different to HEX?
andreas antonopoulos content is quite good check him out on youtube.
Same stuff I've heard before for years from the BTC crowd. Meanwhile, ETH and BNB have a higher transaction volume - so adoption is not the key to BTC's price, it's more people buying because they hope the price will go up ( the "store of value" meme from Michael Saylor and the BTC crowd) than more people selling... Nothing more.
Hex is an obvious ponzi scheme - Everything you described is the definition of ponzi scheme.
Yeah, I just said it was.

Like most of DEFI, unless you are going to try to contest that?

Are you serious? The entire crypto economy was built around btc and eth.

It sounds exactly like bitconnect minus the sophisticated trading bot lie , Hex manipulated it to say some other bs.
What makes BTC a store of value is that it's price increases in accordance (or above) inflation. What makes it's price increase? More people buying and holding, than more people selling.
I can think about a dozen+ institutional names buying btc.

Who are the smart money buying hex? The only smart money buying hex is other snake oil salesmen who got into the ponzi early.

You said adoption (and reliability) is fuelling the price of Bitcoin.

Transaction volume disagrees with you. ETH and BNB/BSC has a higher transaction volume - and therefore a higher rate of adoption - than BTC, yet they have lower market caps than BTC.

So if adoption (and reliability) is a fuelling BTC's price, what metric are you talking about adoption.
I can think about a dozen+ institutional names buying btc.
Yeah, that's exactly what I said.

People buy and hold BTC because they believe other people will buy and hold BTC, which is what gives it value. It's value is not based on adoption. ETH and BNB is beinguseda higher rate than BTC.
Who are the smart money buying hex?
It's mainly retail, that doesn't disprove anything I've said.

Also, you haven't made a single counter argument to BTC's price being based on adoption, because the data (transaction volume) is on the side of ETH and BNB, not BTC.

Yeah, he did that with the origin address. It manipulated the price at the start through recycling practices. It's dormant now.

Adoption isn't just transaction volume - its network effects - its the jobs it creates and the economy built around btc. here's a simple example - Bitmex - it uses btc as its main currency for trading and you need to deposit btc if you wanna trade there. And bitmex has(had) dominated the space for such a long time now.

What sort of economy is built around hex? HEX is a scam, a centralized ponzi scheme. How the heck is hex even decentralized that fker richard heart has his slimy hands all over it? next thing you are gonna say hex is decentralized and the future of finance. Its a rotten ponzi scheme and the people who put their money in it will lose it all one day.

ETH wins again then... The amount of DApps built on ETH leading to employment, the adoption on every single exchange, businesses building on ETH, the high transaction volume... All of those together are bigger than BTC.Yet the market doesn't reflect that and BTC is higher, why?

It's obviously not about adoption, it's "number go up" because people believe that more people will buy and hold vs selling... Straight Ponzinomics.

Never said it was decentralized, and I've openly acknowledged it's a glorified ponzi. I do my best to be objective.

It will keep going, as long as the more people buy and hold out paces the amount of people selling... Just like the majority of DEFI and similar to Bitcoin.

Bitcoin's price will continue to go up as long as more people buy and hold than people sell... There are superior cryptocurrencies to BTC, other currencies have more utility than BTC.

Bitcoin offers no smart contract capability, so DApps can't be built on it. DApps (like the many gaming ones upcoming) give an incentive to buy and use ETH that has nothing to do with 'number go up', you buy it to use the DApp. Do you disagree?

now you are describing financial markets. When people buy price goes up, when people sell it goes down.what financial markets don't do is give every bloke a guaranteed return!!. and that too 40%+?!!This applies to stonks/crypto/w/e.. Any other chitcoin is better than hex cuz u can atleast sell that chit when u wanna get out of it. ETH and BTC serves different purposes - btc is seen as digital gold by many and i agree with that viewpoint. Its more of a commodity like gold..

Hex == worse than dog chit.

If they are "locking up" hex or w/e how is that even good for most of the "holders"? What if hex dumps to 0 - they will be holding something worthless and they have no control over what they can do with their useless hex?

atleast i am glad you acknowledge hex is a ponzi.

No, it's ponzi.

At least Gold actually has real world utility, even if it's no longer used as a store of value. Bitcoin doesn't.

Monero, Haven, and Pirate chain doe, because they provide cross-border financial privacy.
If they are "locking up" hex or w/e how is that even good for most of the "holders"?
It makes the price go up.

Game theory.

Buying and holding is what makes the price go up. That's true for Bitcoin, and that's what's true for HEX. So Richard literally incentivized people to hold. You lose significantly if you unstake before your agreed upon time. There have been people who (you can check on the smart contract) who have locked up for 10+ years.

Selling makes the price go down.
atleast i am glad you acknowledge hex is a ponzi.
Yep, just like the people who push the "Bitcoin is digital gold" but they are dishonest, and won't tell people that all they are doing is trying to encourage people to buy and hold so that "number go up". It's ponzi-economics.

If people like Michael Saylor was honest he would just say he wants more people to buy and hold so "number go up", rather than telling people (paraphrasing) "There is no 2nd best crypto asset, there is only Bitcoin!" because his company is balls deep in Bitcoin... Dishonest man openly promoting ponzi-economics, yet who is praised by Bitcoin Maxis. At least Richard openly says that the goal of Hex is "number go up".

I hope you watch some of Richard's talks one day, if you haven't already.

I highly recommend this one, the first hour alone is highly insightful. Even if you don't buy HEX, IMO you'll see that he's a really insightful guy...

i will repeat - there areno guaranteed returnsin financial markets and there isNO RISK FREE TRADE.
I agree.

(Note: I own no HEX... Yet.

I'm not emotionally attached to projects, I try to look at things objectively. I may own or not own cryptos that I defend of criticize. I haven't seen the same from most Bitcoin owners, they literally deny basic data that shows that ETH and BNB have more utility that BTC., and that "number go up" is the sole reason why Bitcoin dominates the market.)

no thanks i dont wanna watch that ugly cunts face or hear his voice. It was amusing nonetheless to argue over nothing. you are not being objective - you are trolling.

and no i am not btc maximalist - i just find it easier to trade bitcoin thats all. If something else pops up i will switch to that - for now it is btc. If u buy hex u might as well throw all ur money away.

No, I genuinely am trying to be objective.

The market is largely made up of gloried ponzis. Bitcoin being the biggest.

If the market was based on adoption and utility, ETH and BNB would have a higher market cap than BTC. The data showing DApps, transaction volume, and digital product sales on ETH and BSC shows that.

IMO if someone tries to objectively look at the data they will come to the same conclusion.

Never said you were.

People have been saying that to people who buy HEX since it's inception, it continues to prove people wrong. (It's outperfomed BTC in the same timeframe.)

I don't own ETH either, but I've argued ITT that I believe it needs to flip BTC for the health of the crypto market.

You don't need to own something to see/acknowledge it's merits.

I've listened to several of Richard's streams and I don't recall this.

Extremely green TA...

Someone on /biz/ posted about a Death Cross forming on BTC, I checked and yeah.

Benjamin Cowen said on the 27th that a Death Cross may be forming.

A Death Cross can signal a massive sell off for those unaware.

In!

I have a decent spread, recently they all took a hit. Guess I’ll just continue to HODL as per usual.
