Here in LA, it’s all VERY real. They also teach Critical Race Theory to second graders here. Matter-of-fact, I think the race/trans/woke obsession is actually far worse in this town irl than it is online. Srs. I presume you live in either the South or Midwest, OP.

Stopped reading all news in February, so much happier and optimistic now. Took like a month to heal my brain.

I kept hearing about all this horrible sht, but I look around and things look the same as 5 years ago in my life other than more sodomy flags in front of houses. And I guess some people are more sensitive, but life is good, which you wouldn't believe were possible if you believed the news.

I think taking a break and refraining from the news is healthy. I caught myself reading some headlines and found myself getting irritated over some of the ****ed up things that some people had done in regards to animal abuse. (A guy killed a man’s dog and the woke judge let the guy out of jail.)

They tried that for literally decades. Too many people seem to be under the assumption that no other form of treatment has been tried, when if you do some research you will see that therapy and meds to suppress gender dysphoria has been the normal method of treatment in the 20th century in the west.

They came to the conclusion that gender transitioning was the best treatment for gender dysphoria.

It's like conversion therapy... "Have you tried trying to pray the gay away and therapy"... Yeah, that's been tried, it fails.

(The modern culture seems to have overcorrected though, and now we are enabling or encouraging even kids to transition, which is wrong. Overcorrecting can be as damaging as denying that some people are best treated through gender transitioning.)
