Could be fake but on June 10, 2021 (tomorrow, as of this writing), at precisely 8:30 in the morning, a data “bomb” will go off – and the financial media will go crazy.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics will release the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for May.

This is what defi does and all the big boys did at the start of the bullrun. Put up eth collateral on makerdao (need collateral atleast 2x borrow value) with loan @ 3% interest to repay on the life of the loan (can be repaid within 1 year at any time). As long as you have enough minimum collateral for the loan (which you always will in bull) you can used borrowed funds to put into a new loan OR while your eth value increases and min collateral decreases as a % withdraw the funds and keep recycling the funds you receive in the way banks used to with deposits and loans. For anyone with huge ETH numbers, you could 2x or 3x the number of eth you hold, all of which you control on the platform via your wallet.

The downside is if there is a significant selloff and your collateral $ value goers below min threshold, the platform gives you 1 hour to supply collateral otherwise it gets bid from others and you lose an additional 8% i think of your collateral to the liquidator. Think Justin Sun got margin called on his ~600M loan he had out and resupplied collateral within minutes.

Man the G7 summit is this weekend . And with the El Salvador movement and positive sentiment the big leaders may have to "break the glass" and activate the FUD machine.
Might be time to put "ban" and "Bitcoin" in the same sentence. Even though it would make no sense technically..

Granted I don't know how they do this with large institutions and hedge funds already setting up Bitcoin operations. Btc is too far down it's path for ban fud

Historically didn't ETH trail BTC by about a month? I do agree more recently it did seem everything moved very close to hand in hand though.
Personally, I think once BTC confidence gets there and starts closing above 42k the alts will follow.

Regulation would be more effective than banning to contain any threat of cryptocurrencies to the financial system.

Stricter KYC, AML, heavy fines for exchanges that don't comply, etc.

4chan posting meme *******s getting wrecked. CPI data is out and its worse than expected but not a complete disaster. Market is pumping now just like when Job report was below the lowered expectations. Thats the best you can hope for in Biden economy. The stagnant crab market is probably over. I expect were going to 50ks again by end of the month.

What do you experienced crypto dudes make of these shorts explosion?

May 19 shorts exploded to 10k before it crashed

June 7th shorts exploded to 7k then market crashed -7%

Now we’re all the way up to 20k shorts. Double the amount in may 19

Up 800%+ in shorts over the week and only up 2% in longs lmao

I’ve sold like 35-40% of my portfolio to increase my stacks in case it dips hard asf, which it looks like it’s gone do

They seem very confident for some reason, that shorts are stacking high.

You *******s still haven't learned that after any big green day comes profit taking while you bag HODL. Smart people lock in profits then re-invest in the dip and acquire bigger bags. We just went up in BTC by about 25% in the span of about a day. Today was always going to be red and people are going to short it for easy money. What you also don't seem to comprehend from 4chan meme posts is that more people are longing than shorting right now. Fear/Greed index has gone up significantly from the levels it was at in the past few weeks. People are getting bullish. The buy volumes on previous pumps were extremely low. Now were seen big buys happening that weren't happening in the previous pumps. The sell volumes are also getting a lot smaller.

The overall markets which are tied together at this point also point towards getting out of the dip. Stock market has been in correction/crab since April as well. Today it smashed the $423 SPY resistance it had after bouncing of it a few times. Meme stocks are also all dying. Everytime meme stocks did well crypto tanked. People are literally taking out crypto to buy GME and other trash stocks. The same happened during Dogcoin mania last month. CPI and Job reports data tanked the markets in May and this time even though they were still below expectations caused the markets to pump. Investors dont care anymore and expect chit reports as long as they aren't a complete disaster. They are back to putting money in the markets and tech is starting to rebound as well.

So looking at the trend changes this BTC cycle they're all almost exactly 20 days between trend reversal. So we're due basically right now to determine continued trend down or rebound.

I should have listened to the misc back in 2012 and got into the bitcoin then... However, I just started this week with 750$ (not much I know, but have to start somewhere). I did a bit of research and combined it with my own preference for some but here's how the portfolio looks right now.
BTC - ~30%
ETH - ~30%
Then the rest I have in LTC, ADA, XLM, XRP, VET

Not sure what to do now. I'll buy when I can (monthly) but not quite sure on exact number yet but I plan to be steady. Any advice?

Longs have been steady since post crash in May, but shorts have gone parabolic since June 5th. Longs have not gone parabolic only shorts have, the only time before that it went parabolic was before the crash in May, that's what everyone is pointing out. We aren't talking about daily figures.

Here are the charts...

Only advice i will give is have a plan, stick to it, and don't let the volatility of the market scare you into making dumb spur of the moment decisions.
