The real reason is Africa still has slavery - this institution is self-destructive.

Almost all African countries are Socialist. The way the system works is most industries are nationalized. They (each centralized gov) then tried to replace low-paying ag jobs with factory jobs. Then the central government tariff foreign goods preventing locals from buying those goods as a way to protect their new industries. The hope was then the foreign countries would establish companies inside of the African boarders in the hope that these businesses would avoid the tariff by virtue of it. Ultimately these trade restrictions prevent in-continent trading. This means African countries couldn't exchange with each other. As a result no industry became an economic absolute in regard to advantage in their continent; therefore, foreigners didn't want African goods. These consumers could buy their own local goods which were better made, technologically advanced and cheaper. This is because centralized governments don't adapt very well without absolute authoritarian rule (i.e an iron fist). African governments didn't invest in their people either. They wanted private companies and other countries to give them a hand out and train their people rather than their people acquiring education and developing on their own. This meant African workers were less efficient than East Asian, European, or American.

The government in trying to rid their countries of agriculture jobs also damaged their societies as they didn't focus on water sanitation and farming methodologies for their people and instead tried to compete directly with societies already too far advanced. China is trying to do the same thing with Europe and America currently - but China is running into many barriers now such as Americans tarifing China and Europeans not buying large scale Chinese goods i.e cars, computers, heavy machinery, boats, etc. Neither do Americans. These countries can produce these internally or from creators of these goods that are American or European owned.

Most African nations are split ethnically and varied by language. The big thing in America is we're a melting pot and believe in the idea of integration i.e. learning to speak English is a biggie, get a job, work most of your life, and be productive are culture identities of Americans. This isn't the case in Africa. Many African nations have a plurality of languages spoken and by doing so - they divide themselves further. Politicians recognize this and in fact commit genocide often as a form of political aspiration and influence to win votes in elections.

Africans instilled bribery in their government. Graft isn't uncommon in the world and it is probably more common to have to bribe someone to do business in a society in most places in the world. This is of course illegal in America and why America is the greatest and most influential business and economy in the world. Having fair business laws make your country viable. When you're corrupt and unstable you have coups. And when you have coups you have no investment and no one wants to invest in your country. Islamic terrorism and actual piracy is rampant. YARRRRrrrrrrr.... en shallah.

Africans have too many kids. Family size in Africa is gigantic. Gigantic families means everyone in the family is poorer as less resources go around. If Africa wanted to have a more vibrant economy they'd drop their family size to 3 or less instead of 4-10.

African families are often worn torn and broken. Men don't stick around to raise their families or are killed. Single-parent households are awful. Some countries are 60%+ single parent households. This is abhorrent.

If you watch Caspian Report on youtube you'll see a lot of European nations are investing in Africa also. French has long maintained their colonial hold on Africa and have had military there for a long time. Portugal also has massive political and trade connections there.

Yeah, the same bro's who were responsible for the transatlantic slave trade are still operating in Africa. Big surprise there.

At this point USA, Canada, Russia, etc. are being left out of the loop. There is currently a race to gain a foothold in Africa for resources. China, Spain, Portugal and France are all major players.

Then our designs either got stolen or patents were sold to other nations like Japan(who's nation we rebuilt)

BRI is a means of giving 'money loans' to idiots or the corrupt to build expensive infrastructure projects that potentially will fail from shoddy design/implementation and then annexing a portion of the country through 100+ year leases as a means of establishing a colony as the idiots/corrupt cannot pay back the loan. It is literally a means of re-colonizing Africa.

Of course, they've strategically established themselves as both the manufacturing and rare earth metals middle man. That's precisely why western corporations all pander to their CCP overlords, and why attempting to "bring manufacturing back to the states through trade embargos" will never work. Globalism as a function of the new world order has been around at least since the 90s in that sense

True. Americans focus on science as a cultural ideology. China focuses on theft and they are unapologetic about it.

Only because the US gave up their supply chain. US has the opportunity to rebuild it and be back into play in 20 years.

Investing in Africa will surely end well…
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

You want to know what's the difference between Western/white countries and CCP-controlled China?

White people in Western countries *in 2021* find genocide unacceptable.
Chinese people in Communist China *in 2021* find genocide acceptable.

Remember not that long ago when China was putting lead paint on children's toys? What about all of the fake/adulterated food being produced in China in the present day, to be consumed by Chinese?

Its gotten so bad that Chinese tourists buy baby formula in bulk from Australia and New Zealand, because they know that the Chinese baby formula might be poisonous or have zero nutritional value and they don't want their children to die. This is how the Chinese treat their own people. If they are willing to kill other Chinese for a marginal profit, then imagine how readily they would harm Africans.
Not sure on your specific details, but the Chinese government is definitely willing to take harsh actions against their own people that would be widely condemned in the west.

This is true, No one technologically comes close.

Where are you getting this info on labor rates? They still require 6 days a week at 12+ hours a day for laborious work. I find your stay hard to believe but would be super interested in sauce.

Also they aren’t interested in cheap labor for chit they’d outsource. They’re more focused / interested in mining. Ded fkn srs.

The whole concept of human rights, ethics and morality is completely different between China and the west nowadays.
Western governments and politicians doesn't care about human rights when it comes to non Western and non-European nations. We've consistently seen that, even in the 21st century.

The PRISM program and other revelations from Edward Snowden and Julian Assange show that they don't care about privacy.
Their ongoing funding of the Israeli Military, and their invasions of Iraq and Libya showed that they couldn't care less about people outside of North America and Europe.

They simply don't care.

The CCP =/= the Chinese people.

If you want to define the Chinese people by their bad actors, then do you hold the west to the same standard?

Like when it comes to all the people who knew about Epstein and Maxwell, and tried to protect them and their operation ring (e.g. Alexander Acosta, who was promoted by Trump to become secretary of Labour after helping him to cover up the child prostitution ring)?

Anybody who wants a crash course on how the West has treated Africa, this is a good 15 minute video about Gaddafi from an African.

Even though he had serious flaws, the man truly was trying to uplift Africa economically. The west simply would not allow that, and so destroyed the entire nation of Libya.

Brah speaks passionately, and lays out the basic case.

We'll see if China treats Africa like the west has. My belief is that China will exercise soft power (infrastructure and business) rather than what the west has done to Africa.
