Can't wait to jump back in.

Is there any big changes besides graphical and I guess doing away with realms? Would be cool to see them release another LoD style expansion down the line.

Hope there's some class balances too so it's not just hammerdins as the default MF build.

god damn boys it's not that far away.

23rd is Thursday and i'm definitely taking the Friday off work. I would do Thursday too but I just have a feeling servers are gonna be playing up and there's gonna be issues for the first 12 hours or so

what everyone's first char gonna be? i'm thinking i might do elemental druid or bowzon. or just standard MF sorc

yeah my heart wants to play something different for a first playthrough, but my brain wants to do the standard MF sorc as a first char.

if this is what it's made out to be (a faithful d2 remake), I'll get 200+ hours out of this game. each character to 90+, PVP, end game stuff etc

Fuk yeah, I was thinking just another thread bump with no news but this is awesome news. It's been a while since I've given this company my money but I will have to make one exception here since this is remnant of Blizzard North.

Now I have to decide if I will start the first league in HC or SC and then FO sorc or Blizz sorc. I think MF sorc is probably the safest bet.

8 player games, that's how it should be done. Not this 2-4 player sh*t. World PVP, corpses being looted, drops mattering etc etc etc. 3 months will fly by. The powerleveling scene will be amazing.

One thing that will be interesting is how the community goes with bots. Because in D2 it's kinda of just accepted, because Baal bot runs benefited everyone. Then again it doesn't take long to manually NIGMA/teleport to the throne.

I recently started HC and am loving it. Hope the servers are good on launch but usually they aren't so might make a SC char until it gets back to normal then jump into HC.

I remember it was unplayable unless you knew everyone in game because of TPPKing. Was looking up to see if they fixed that for D2:R and apparently they fixed it 11 years ago lol.

Definitely plan on jumping straight in with HC now. Maybe summon necro then respec to poison when I get decently geared. Too easy to die on ungeared sorc and I've chucked enough hammers enough back when I used to play.

Yea just make sure to mule all ur finds, that's what I do. So if you DO die it doesn't sting as much. I recently just started a sorc on D2 LOD ladder, level 78 right now. It's got pretty good survivability with energy shield. Those fkn dolls scare me though, there's no delay on them like there is on PD2. Been just farming NM and Hell mausoleum/ancient tunnels.

if I tele into a nutty pack I immediately save/exit lol

2 things i'm wondering :

1) will they make a trade website or just keep it as solely in game
2) will it be like the classic diablo 2 with making games etc like this :



I definitely hope that's the case with number 2, i'm not sure about 1. it does make things easier but I actually quite liked the system of putting all your 'wares' in a trade window and someone putting their offer

I'm sure there will probably be some unofficial discord where everybody is just trading their chit, much like Project Diablo. While people still would put their trades in the game name, trading could never go back to how it was 20 years ago just based on how popular, convenient and ubiquitous comms are nowadays.

I really enjoyed the days of opening trade and saying “wug” and making a deal. Nothing was bound to your character or account. The players determined the economy.

that system is garbage tbh on D2 lod. Once you are in hell, you can only see hell games, no filter, no auto fill for next game, etc.

PD2 improved upon it where you can see nm, normal, and hell games as well as filter them. I'm sure it will be even more improved for D2R

wood be sick to have a d2r trading website like pd2 though. I miss the "wug" days as anyone else but it sort of is a waste of time when you think about it. some players just have dog chit items or items you do not need at all. would rather trade for what I need and be able to search for it,.
