Yeah early on sorc is squishy but she has so many positives like teleport, static for bosses, MF builds etc.

The only thing that might make me possibly first start on SC is that some of my friends refuse to play HC. I don't know, I'll decide on the day, 75% leaning to HC off the bat.

I wonder how the hacking scene will be dealt with or will they just let it be like with D2 now. Things like auto pickers, people having POS scripts that esc/quit the game as soon as they take damage in a duel etc.

A good video with a list of the things that ARE changing. To me it looks good, just lots of QOL changes, things like better sound, item equip visuals, UI having all menu options etc isn't going too far. Shared stash helps with not making a game, dropping and rushing to connect back and hoping you don't DC etc.

I also like how you will be able to see all game lists regardless of what difficulty you are on. Small stuff like that is good.

Seasons will be shorter. I didn't mind 6 months but I agree it's too long these days. They'll probably make 3 months. Global ladder lists for like first 99s etcs which will make the competition pretty fierce.

To be honest, I can't see any red flags. I think they might have pulled it off.

For me, it's a game that I've wanted to re experience again for a long time. But the old graphics, settings, etc, just don't jive well with modern computer resolutions, etc. And I didn't want to play one of the third party offerings. And I don't have the slightest idea where my old physical copies are, and I damn well wasn't paying $20 for D2 and LoD after 20 years lol.
So to be able to play THE Diablo 2 with zero changes to the game but better graphics and sounds....uh, fk yeah.

That's one of the reason why i stopped playing, I didn't think they could make the spamming any worse until it covered HALF of the screen.
Got tired of max bot, baal bots , everyone botting non stop.

RIP'd my level 86 sorc last night. Accidently minimized the game in a pack of Dark Lords in Durance 3. Feelsbad..

Gotta disable that function on my keyboard.


Also yesterday I found a Mang Song's in Ancient Tunnels on USEast HC Ladder. I was able to mule it tho since it's pretty useless. Just super rare.

Yeah I saw that, was nuts. Can't recall ever finding one but may have in the early days when I was unaware of its rarity.

While I love PoE I think the plethora of league mechanics and overpowered crafting has really detracted that feel for drops being your main source of excitement. I mean POE still has rare drops of course but you really can just SSF a caster and utilize league mechanic/crafting to any end game. Currency is also a circus, less is sometimes more. Less drops, more meaningful.

I mean in D2 if you get that awesome +1 charm with life, or that base osoc etc you go berserk. I also like how you have certain areas that are better or ONLY drop a certain item. It makes it a simple but enjoyable "open world" rather than just being in a map instance.
