They weren't stealing DVD players specifically, but bunch of other electronics too. Also DVD players were pretty pricey in 2000


Oh and keep in mind this movie was expected to be straight-to-VHS/DVD release, so storyline is thin (not that it's much better in later ones either).
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit softly.

Pretty sure that load would probably be worth around 250k back in the day. 3- 30k civics = 90,000 invested. Hit a few trucks worth a quarter milli and profit op.

so do the math they could have sold them for 50% off
