RIP, of course, but month-long lockdowns of entire cities over that is absolute insanity. Literal insanity and mental illness. No one could seriously believe these people care about minute handfuls of elderly already on their deathbeds.

They don't work, period. Your position is unsustainable and you're refusing to admit it because you, like the governments, have to double down on your bullchit decision making and opinions up to this point. It hurts to admit all this was pointless.

You can engage in semantics all you want. The virus and its assorted strains are here to stay forever. What's your solution? I ask again. PERMANENT MASKS AND LOCKDOWNS?

Nature has to run its course, we can't win this one. The virus and humanity have to coexist. People like you are insisting on MADNESS.
maybe the weak need to be nature's way because world's limited resources. That's how its always been. That's from my boss that is a grandpa. If people cared all of a sudden about life, they wouldn't line the roads with trees and poles, they would ban smokes guns and alcohol, they would stop people from getting morbidly obese. This is why I'm so skeptical of the motives at play.

Unless she has dementia and then she's fuked.
There were almost 10,000 unexplained extra deaths among people with dementia in England and Wales in April, according to official figures that have prompted alarm about the severe impact of social isolation on people with the condition.

The data, from the Office for National Statistics, reveals that, beyond deaths directly linked to Covid-19, there were 83% more deaths from dementia than usual in April, with charities warning that a reduction in essential medical care and family visits were taking a devastating toll.

A survey of 128 care homes by Alzheimer’s Society reveals that 79% report that lack of social contact is causing a deterioration in the health and wellbeing of their residents with dementia

that's the ironic part of it all. it's a trade-off between which grandmas we're killing at this point. we already have a sense of how damaging these lockdowns can be, but I feel like we are only just scratching the surface on its effects which will be felt many years from now.

You can't imply something and then deny the implication because you didn't state it outright. Smh.

What madness do I insist on exactly? That the public are accountable for where we are as well as the government?

You jumped to an assumption after ignoring context. Dude you're not all there upstairs and everyone itt sees it lmfao. Even your sig, "disliking everything Western Culture encapsulates" displays your agenda. You want to destroy the Western world, you are the reason for all this insanity. The scary thing is, you don't even seem to be aware of it. The efficacy of the propaganda is shocking.

The madness you're insisting on is that lockdowns work, should be kept going and that the insane policies from the beginning shoulda woulda coulda if only people listened - when the opposite is clear.

If we didn't have sophisticated technology to identify a new virus, these past two winters would have gone down as particularly bad seasons for old people and fatasses. You are so brainwashed it's almost unbelievable.

I suspect we end up with a generational of "covid kids" with developmental problems and lower level of educational achievement.

Bro like quote me where I said lockdowns work innit.

I think you and I have very different ideas of what the western world is. Do you like political correctness? Do you like women are equal to men rhetoric? Minorities getting preferential treatment? Islam is a religion of peace? Fat acceptance? All white men bad? That's the western world to me. Maybe you like those things, who knows. But I think a lot of users here aren't too fond of them either.

Maybe thats why you're arguing? You're lumping all the covid protestors in with the people you mentioned.

You're citing people for accountability for going out, etc. That is an implication on your part that lockdowns would have worked had they been 100% followed. You're full of chit.

As to your second point, that's PC CULTURE, not Western Culture. Western culture is about freedom, to assemble, and CHOOSE, etc etc. You are the antithesis of that itt.

You are not as smart as you pretend to be, the veneer is thin.

i think that's one of the more worrisome part of it. A lot of kids born after 2010 are just going to face a lot of problems going into the future and having to compete with millenials who would be in their 50s by the time they make it into the workplace. Not gonna be a good time

It's already being studied, and it's true unfortunately. But it's pretty obvious from the get go that this would happen, not many parents are mentally equipped to home school (I'm certainly not), I don't even believe in home schooling.

Edit: it's not even about a lower standard of education, but socializing with peers. The studied showed that spending time with only family, even siblings around your age isn't equivalent to being around kids your exact age.

Similar coverage to the BLM protests on 6 June 2020

https://www.theguardian.com/australi...ths-in-custody

The ones protesting today were all evil criminals, the 20,000 protesting on 6 June 2020 AT THE HEIGHT OF THE PANDEMIC were "peaceful, except for ugly scenes when police officers used pepper spray on protesters".

How good is the media coverage.

Stay strong bros, everyone sees through the media and politician BS. Fkn propaganda that Goebbels himself would be proud of...
