The number one reason is work culture. You don't work hard, you work long. Its retarded, accomplishes nothing, and is just a waste of time and life. Enjoy going back on Sundays for 7 hours just to send a fax out, as your boss is there, and his boss is there, so all of you have to go in and jerk each other off.

Then there's Honne and Tatemae. If you don't know about this, you deserve to get fukked.

There's also the nail that sticks out gets hammered in culture. You think it'd be good to make SJWs toe the line, but you don't realise that it applies to wearing a navy blue suit when you should be wearing charcoal, and yes, you can lose your job over that. Good luck expressing yourself.

If you have any kids, they'll get bullied to hell. Their bullying is not American style locker shoving, but ostracisation, scrawling on their desk, getting their shoes stolen and thrown out, etc. The teacher will not do anything, because your kid is the nail that sticks out, so its their fault.

Everything else you've said is retarded. Japan has the 2nd highest number of atheists in the world, next to China, and you're saying that they're crazy religious. That's as retarded as saying Afghanistan is a safe and progressive space for women.

If you like it there so much, then fuk off and go live there. Love it or leave it.

Source: Have Japanese relatives that are actually normal, not low-class gaijin hunters. The fact that your wife has never told you any of these tells me she's never been in a proper job, and only has ever worked as a gaijin hunter.
Bolded - we have that here. That’s what cancel culture works to enforce. Although cancel culture wants to take it a step further and control how you think as well.

Try speaking up against gay marriage and a company that flies the Homo flag during “pride” month. You’ll quickly get canned.

Yeah I don't know about the whole how good/bad it is for foreigners but it's a lot better for locals than American is for locals and I think that is the main takeaway. It is what America could have been if it was just, way, way better.

Japanese women are wiley though and will make sure that before the divorce, their kids are with their Japanese grandparents out in the countryside and they will have filed domestic abuse charges with the prick Japanese police. I personally know several Japanese women who really hold the children as ransom and demand exorbitant sums from their former Western husbands just to see the kids.

Naive Westerners seem to have this view that Asian women are somehow better than Western women. Western women are awful, no doubt, but Japanese, Thai, Chinese women are even more ruthless when it comes to money. Yet Westerners think of them as traditional, subservient wives that will cook, clean and look after their man. Nothing could be further from the truth. Blows my mind that guys go to Thailand and end up marrying bar girls that they don't even have a language in common with and who always have at least one kid as well as a Thai boyfriend that beats her senseless but that she respects moroe than the poor Western sap that marries her.

It was great to live in Japan at first. Tokyo is amazing, you get to go out and smash Japanese (and foreign) girls in scummy Roppongi, the food is incredible, people are superficially polite, there's so much order, etc. But the sheen always wears off and you begin to see the dark heart of the country. You'll only ever be seen as a Gaijin and you'll never have equal rights there. But yeah, if any of you bros do go over there just don't go over as a poverty English teacher lol.
Maybe not the "feminism" we have over in the west, but women (obviously Japanese women exclusively, duh) get preferential treatment. The social and gender dynamics of women being given special treatment and men treated like disposable worker drones, is 10-fold over there.

Again, from what I read elsewhere.

Even worse for locals! Hence the suicide rate, hikkikomoris, people living in internet cafes, having to go for drinks after work with their boss and laugh at his jokes, not being able to leave the office before the boss does, etc.

Like I said I love the country but it's screwed up in ways that us Westerners can't really fathom. Not saying it's not a great country but definitely viewed with rose tinted spectacles by most.

I also worked with a lot of Japanese. They have a reputation for being smart and ultra hard working but pretty much every Japanese that I worked with was a borderline moron.

Relationships are very superficial and conformity is insane. It seems like every Japanese woman has to have a Louis Vuitton bag, for example.

I'm torn - it's an amazing country, no doubt, but i'm telling you that after a while a kind of disillusionment sets in. And out of all the Japanese I met (admittedly they were more foreign friendly) any of them couldn't wait to escape Japan and go to the States.

Locals are treated better by the courts, the police and they can access things that we can't. Perhaps the CEOs there are havinga great time, i don't know but the ordinary salary men are miserable wretched. You find them littered all over the floor on a Friday night, completely unconscious as they drink to forget their terrible lives.

KBurn got it completely right though. Everybody thinks Japanese people are so hard working. They're actually useless but still face time is massive over there and they are forced to socialise with their work colleague in izakayas very regularly even though they hate it.

Plus, unlike Westerners, Japanese are expected to conform constantly to a rigid set of rules. It's impressive/amusing to observe but I doubt that living it would be much fun.

And yeah, those saying they would want a Japanese wife should go ahead then update in a few years when she has effectively kidnapped the children and the courts/police will not help at alll. They're some of the coldest, most scheming women I have ever seen and I personally wasn't witness to one happy marriage between a Westerner and Japanese woman. Once they have kids, forget about sex. But i guess that's what deriheru and soapland (if you can even get in as a foreigner) are for.

well yeah of course you need relatives to know the in and out of the culture like he does. Japan is largely a mystery to outsiders and thats probably why so many americans are drawn to it while making a lot of false assumptions. its basically forbidden fruit for americancels who think the west is less preferable to east asia

Very much so and I felt exactly the same before going there. Psychologically I think people that have had it with their own country and clown world need to believe that there is something better out there.

In spite of all that though I would recommend anybody to go to Japan. It's a great adventure and there will be a honeymoon period where things seem perfect. I would just advise:

1. Don't go as a poverty English teacher. You'll live in a broom cupboard if you're in Tokyo.
2. Don't marry a Japanese woman. You'll regret it.
3. Learn some basic Japanese but don't waste time trying to get completely fluent unless you're exceptionally talented with languages. It's not that spoken Japanese is that hard (Kanji is a bitch obviously) but it will take a hell of a lot of work to become truly fluent and I'm not sure it's worth it unless you're going to settle down there permanently.
4. Don't do a single thing that could get you in trouble with the law. I did and it could have turned out very, very badly. And don't even think about doing drugs out there or bringing your prescription ******** to Japan.

Main reason is they don't allow any "cultural enrichment" whatsoever.

They have always been top 1 or 2 in the world as far as IQ wise.

In exams maybe, just like the Koreans. They are completely incapable of flexible thinking and are imbeciles to deal with. They just do not have a broad intelligence.

English teachers, for example, have to teach off a strict curriculum using books that teach completely unnatural English. The native English speaking teachers are supervised closely by a Japanese and have to teach what's in the book rather than the type of English that is actually spoken. Just giving this as an example of their approach to things. It's completely idiotic and is the reason why Japanese people speak terrible English.

Edit: Totally agree about the cultural enrichment though. There are a lot of Koreans, zainichi or otherwise but they assimilate well into the culture and speak amazing Japanese. There are a fair few dingers in Roppongi, enticing you into nefarious clubs. Japan would like to deport them but they can't as they have all married Japanese women. But yeah, outside Roppongi very few dingers whatsoever.

very much mirin your post.

I think the main takeaway is homogenous society.

Sure they have their "flaws" (work/life balance, rigid structure, etc) but they all agree on it so they don't go killing each other/protesting all the time.

pretty neat tbh.

The justice system is also completely f**ked. Plus you're not going to make close Japanese friends, probably even if you speak fluent Japanese. They'll use you to practice English but that's pretty much as far as it goes. Their mentality is just too different.

Don't we also have those things? I know many guys who got absolutely hosed in divorces, sat in jail for months waiting for a trial, and judges always take a cops word over a civilian.

Cliffs:
OP married a low class woman whose only occupation is to "hunt" for a westerner to marry and divorce rape, hence know nothing of Japanese proper society.
Japan has horrible work culture, they just want you to be there, not working, but just to be there, for very long hours.
Culture severely limits individual expression in any form.
It's also a dying country.
Retards think its great, because its a homogenous society, so they want to marry a Japanese woman, without a hint of irony at all, because they're retarded.
Retards do not realise that its not like Nazi Germany with no black people, but more like Nazi Germany that executes you on the spot because you wore your iron cross on the the third button instead of the second.

You act like crazy sloots are unique to Japan or something. Yes I agree with your analysis partially because a lot of fuking weirdos end up idolizing Japanese women and ignore warning signs of a crazy sloot just because they're Japanese. But you're acting like just because you net crazy gaijin hunters in Japan and opportunistic Japanese English students that everyone is like that. Overall I'd say most Japanese women are higher quality than most american women simply because third wave feminism isn't a thing there. Feminism has ruined everything in the anglo world.

I think your points are more accurate for the average recent liberal arts graduate who went to Japan to teach English and spend all their time in tourist traps only to leave after wasting their time. I already have family in Japan so it's a little different.

Maybe it's just because most men that have to resort to marrying a Japanese woman are low quality men to begin with so unsurprisingly get ****ed off by their wives and divorced.

In spite of all that though I would recommend anybody to go to Japan. It's a great adventure and there will be a honeymoon period where things seem perfect.I would just advise:

I agree. I was only there for a few days in Tokyo and it was a great experience. however it left me thinking how I could never live there: the language is much much harsher than the aesthetic tonality in anime and dramas, and the culture of using the subway to get everywhere is just plain exhausting; the city itself is gigantic and that overwhelms the senses for the first time foreigner who doesn't truly comprehend the vastness of that concrete jungle.

Really enjoyed the convenience store cold brew and egg sandwiches tho. Hotel service was also friendly and accommodating. Would visit again/10.

OP is right though that feminism isn't as prevalent there thus the women are more submissive and conservative. Not all of them are bad eggs per your description of foreigners seeking Japanese women, but I would expect it doesn't not translate to a balanced marriage anyway given the cultural differences

Yeah... Japan is fun to visit - definitely NOT fun to work in from what I've heard.
I just can't work in a place where my boss is my personal deity and I'm a slave worshiper who has to suk his dink if he ordered me to.

Lol all this chit you wrote makes me think you got burned. Yes the work culture can suck bad, but that isn't the most alien thing. However it is one of the bad points. I never said the place was perfect. At least you get paid a wage worth a chit to do so, and in my own case we'd be working the family business so no issue there. What you're describing is more of a Tokyo problem not a Japan problem as life is slower in the countryside. If you think most Japanese are truly atheistic you're out fo your mind. They say they are atheist because for them theistic means going to church and praying to a monotheistic god as in. Christianity or Islam. Most Japanese follow spiritual traditions to the t, going to wash relatives graves and chit, respecting shrines and temples because they truly think the spirits there will fuk them over if they don't. I don't get why you're so pissed and why the fuk you're comparing a chithole like Bali to Japan. Work culture in the us used to be much more strict and regimented until ghetto culture took over and now the worker at McDonald's gets a promotion for spitting in your food because of tolerance and diversity.

I did this **** for years in the military and got much less out of it than if I lived in Japan lol. Most people who bitch about having to show up on time and spend the entire day at work have obviously never heard of a work detail.

I would like to go there maybe for a shorter trip for work or something for like a month would be cool. Would rather see how it is before i commit to moving there.

From the people i hear that lived there from what they said:

1. the locals work crazy overtime, that they have to because things are expensive
2. sounded like everyone drank a lot and went out drinking after work in the middle of the week with their coworkers all the time
3. japanese sloots like tall white guys

This is how I know you've never been to Japan. My in laws house cost less to build than most Americans houses cost to buy and is a three story farmhouse with 2 kitchens , 2 living rooms and tati rooms plus bedrooms. But sure shoebox apartment next to a bunch of dindus is abetter tradeoff
