I have severe sleep apnea so the mask I use only goes onto my nose. If I even tried to breath through my mouth I would basically gasp for air.
The people that do mouth breath have to use a full mask.

It's funny bc I breath thru my nose all day, but at night I was breathing/snoring thru my mouth. Before I had my septum fixed I used to wake up w gnarly headaches. Sleep so much better now.

I'd probably suffocate with my deviated septum.

And this is a small (postage size) square of tape. If I wake in the middle of the night I can still breathe out the sides of my mouth, mumble to my wife, and drink water w a straw if I'm thirsty.

Man I sorta lost respect for the Art of Manliness dude after he featured Ashida Kim in an article. His forums are full of vasectomy castratos too.
Why waste money and tape on this tho. Just shove a dildo in there to block the airway.

Believe I have sleep apnea. Would it be dangerous?

I woke up part way thru the night the first few nights and had to remove it. It's training your body to nose breathe. It felt a little scary but if I couldn't breathe, I'd wake up. Haven't had an issue since. Also, it's small, you CAN breathe thru your mouth if you need to. There's a company now that makes these big strips that cover your whole mouth, idk about that.

Edit: OP, does this help with snoring? I have a pretty bad deviated septum so I can't breathe through my nose well. Am I gonna die if I try this?

Pretty sure both my kids breathe through their nose, what is the actual benefit of nose breathing for development?
Edit- just noticed the AOM graphic. Used to love Art of Manliness, the reason I started wet shaving over a decade ago. Shame they removed comments from the blog posts.

buckle up retards....
i started doing this years ago and literally changed my life. I have terrible sleep apnea. even with a full face mask i would sleep with my mouth open and end up having sleep apnea "attacks". i would literally jump out bed, gasping for air like i was one second away from death. scary. Through my own research, because of course doctors are lazy and dgaf, i started doing the mouth tape with a nose only face mask.... no more sleep apnea "attacks" and i can now sleep 6 or 7 hours and it feels like i slept 10.
On vacation, if i dont feel like brining my CPAP, i will just use the tape and it works pretty damn well. If you sleep mouth open, this is huge. Use 3m transpore tape. roll your lips together very slightly and go across. Leave a tiny opening at the ends of your mouth. try it during the day to learn how to breathe nose only.

Intredasting bread. Thanks misc. Will try mouth taping srs, already do a lot of breathing work such as nose-only breathing during vigorous cardio and deep nose-only breathing in the steam room after training for 10-15 minutes and have noticed it to help a lot with fatiguing.

Tried it for the first time last night. Seemed to work, and it stayed on all night. Kinda disrupted my sleep a bit I think so it probably takes a while to get used to. Nose has been feeling clearer all day though, and no dry mouth in morning. Curious to see the results in a week or two.
A young bull and an old bull were standing atop a hill looking at a bunch of heifers in a field below.
The young bull says "Let's run down this hill and fuk one of those heifers."
The old bull replies "No. Let's walk down there, and fuk them all."

Actually tried it a few days ago. Yeah it actually seems legit, though it fell off when I woke up. Will try again.
Not sure if the tape I used is the correct one. I used Leukoplast/strong medical tape.
