Does Larry actually train calves? Do you think if he spent 2 or 3 hours a week focused purely on calves they would not grow?
I've never ran across someone that trains calves intelligently who could not build them. Calves can handle a tremendous work-load and recover fairly quickly. Imagine if Larry went into the gym 2x per week and spent a solid hour or two hours each time focused purely on calf training... They would blow the fukk up.
Most people treat calves and forearms as an after-though. A few sets here and there. Maybe 10-12 sets max per week on them. When they should be hitting closer to 20-30 working sets per week. Go in and train your calves like you train chest and see what happens.
