Fasted cardio or weights?? How are earth would you have the power and energy to get through tough CrossFit-style or SIT training?? Any kind of tough athletic training would require enough calories and nutritious fuel if you're serious about getting the best results. I never understood the fasting "logic" because there isn't too much there when you train for strength and conditioning.

The whole point is you go into a deficit and burn off fat easier. I get up and do 20 min row and 20 min on my air bike then 20 min of running with a weighted vest on. Then in the afternoon, I do weights.

Would love to, but I've tried in the past and energy was so low I got dizzy and felt like about to pass out.

Dehydrated as fukk in the morning. Takes at least an hour to be good.

Also have to take at least 2 good chits in the morning with some coffee in between.

So it's not as easy as "just getting up", unless you want to chit yourself.

How do you do it?? Give some advice fukkwr.

I guess if you have fat to burn then you might try it, but I would NEVER recommend it!! I have been on that air assault bike for about three years, and I can confirm it is one of the grimiest (toughest) cardio conditioning you can try. I can't imagine you're going full beast-mode on that bike fasted... My guess is you're probably on there for five minutes if going hard, and twenty minutes if cruising. You can't do all you described with high intensity without eating.

I did this for a little while at 6:30 am and I could only manage 20 minute sessions going hard. Eventually fuked it off out of pure laziness, coupled with the fact I do weight training x5 a week in the evenings. I probably should get back at it again though and stop being such a chit kunt.

Correct, I do a 40 min EMOM for the rower and the echo bike. 8 cal echo bike, 10 cal C2 Rower, repeat 20x. It's a ****ing bitch and I almost throw up every time. Then I throw on my 20lb weighted vest and go for a SLOOOOOW jog for 20 min and collapse on the floor. 5 min later, boom endorphins and then I eat a MASSIVE breakfast.

I am on the morning chit crew and wake up and pound a large glass of water with Liquid IV in it while on the throne with my phone. Then I wipe my arse and get out to my gym.

I’ve always practiced faster cardio when cutting all my life. Is it better than any other time of day? No idea but it works for me. Mentally it’s good to knock out an hour of LISS and then proceed with the day, already having achieved some success.

Get in fat burning mode, immediately eat massive breakfast. Peak retard.

You can always skip the torture and eat a few eggs and then go for a jog / ride with some intervals…. Clear head, runners high, be in fat burning mode (no hunger) all morning and actually enjoy your morning routine.

No evidence to suggest that fasted cardio is any better than non-fasted. In fact, with non-fasted you're more likely to hit it harder because you'll have more energy to do so.

So even if there is truth that fasted cardio will supposedly put you in a fat-burning mode for the rest of the day, the net effect is probably minimal and most likely offset by the fact that non-fasted cardio sessions would be more productive because you had something to eat first.

Fasted Cardio is legit, but miss me with that "in the morning" bs when I have to get to work for 8am.

Save for the weekend though, but I usually do my lifts before cardio. I only ever really work out fasted, I cant do ANY sort of workout on a full stomach. Srs. That includes playing hockey. I just feel "off"

if i wake up i 5:30 for work, that doesnt mean i have no discipline to get up way before that to do a workout.

i do like fasted morning workouts when i get the chance tho.

Collapsing on the floor? lol Sounds like my training. The more intense, the more gritty... the more fun.I LOVED beating myself up too!

And you're right about that endorphin rush.. lasts most of the day without having to do any boring long distance running.

Just make sure you drink enough electrolyte water or Jocko's GO energy drink.

Sounds alright. Used to do morning spin classes a couple of times a week. Kind of liked Saturday when I could catch a spin class and then change [clothes too sweaty] and go straight in to yoga.

I spend about 20 minutes every morning on the toilet, grunting and whining while fasted. Does that count??
