I would imagine the type of broad to reject a guy for not drinking is the type of person who lives such a vacuous life they consider drinking and bar-hopping to be a hobby.
The big issue overall is women seem to be seeking a guy who will increase her social value, rather than be a worthwhile partner.

Trying to look at everything from an "evolutionary standpoint" like what people do is meant to maximize safe gene passage is kinda retarded. Kinda bugs me how often this argument is used on the misc.
Not every aspect of us is evolutionarily beneficial, and there are tons of confounding factors at play in people's decision-making (e.g., state of society/culture, evolutionary chit with contrasting goals, the random probability of it all).
Imo the main things going on here are some degree of women taking what they can when they can and some degree maximizing social acceptance.
Fuk hot random dudes while you're in your 20s. It's fun, you won't be judged, everybody does it, and you don't need a man to support you because it's the West in the 21st century. Your options diminish as you get older, and there's more stigma from your tribe about being single when older, so you eventually settle down for a likely less hot dude.
Is this optimal for maximal best gene passage? No, probably not, but they're not aiming for the truck.

I can see being frustrated with a prude. It's delusional at 50 to expect this kind of standard.
Someone looking for a crackhead party social network at 50, almost certainly funded by another man's alimony, deserves to be locked up before 10,000 of the uneducated, illegal immigrants crossing the border. She was hopeless before any decision.
You can understand a lot more of where this comes from with some common sense. Lower class, unintelligent people are performing a miracle to succeed in any marriage. Rich heirs who follow some religions and are well-put together are not as likely as inner city nobodies to break up their families.

We don’t know for sure the reason why she rejected him. Maybe she didn’t want a guy 10 years older as he most likely will have more health problems and die before she does?
Maybe she’s like me and SS and prefers younger men as I believe he said she wants a 40 year old man.
Why try to guess? There could be a million reasons why someone isn’t into someone.

Married nice young guy. Once he had girl he assumes the vows you took were legit. He continues with his purpose and you try to saddle him with emotional baggage and neediness.
"He didn't give me what I needed" so you went on Tinder and accrued a 40 body count in a few years and wonder why nobody wants you.
Is logic really that hard?

Imagine coming home to a house alone every night after work. I started binging and purging, which isn’t a healthy way to cope, I admit that now and I have learned healthier ways to cope with distress. Of course that freaked him out and made him more distant and turn to alcohol.
But yeah now I’ve been with so many young Chads for years that it’s hard to lower my standards. I’m just not that attracted to men my age when I’ve looked at models and bodybuilders. Chad addiction really screws you up royally. I may just end up alone with cats because of Chads wanting older women for some milf fantasy.

No hate, good on ya dude BUT a guy who hasn't had a drink in 20 years is weird. Chicks don't like guys who are weird. Male success cues aren't the same as female success cues.
Can guarantee there was some sub-communication re the drinking point and the chick picked up a vibe she didn't like if she switched off immediately (negative emotional reaction). Maybe she didn't like that he was blunt, not open to influence and she can tell he is so firm in his frame that she won't be able to manipulate him into being a beta provider and she has no desire to be a subservient woman in her old age. If she has her own money and can't have kids, what does she need a rich old dude for? Maybe he rolled his eyes at her being a vapid koont and she saw he only wanted the dried up puss and she switched off immediately. A dude observing won't pick up on half of this stuff in real time but every female will.
jfl at female miscers trying to apply rational logic to the decision. Females have emotional logic. He made her feel an emotion that she then associated with other negative emotions from another time in her life and thus a + b = v i.e. he made her feel bad and she is no-longer interested.
lmfao. THATS THE POINT.
So even though you gave your word that you would do x in front of every person who means anything to you in your life (i.e. you face social ostracisation if you don't do x), you decided not to do x because it made you feel good in the moment to do y. Gotcha.
jfl at playing the victim card. You cheated on him with scores of other men in addition to having a list of psychological problems. Rather than accept fault for your poor behaviour you fall back on the cliché "he drove me to do it".
Where is your blame in this failed marriage?
and lmao. as clichés go you are certainly a cliché

I’m not saying it’s his fault. It’s both of our faults. Did I not say I shouldn’t have gone to bulimia? In retrospect we should have gone to counseling sooner as I was lonely and unhappy in the marriage.
But it’s too late for that now and now I’m old and my weight goes up and down by like 60 lbs so a guy looks at my IG and is like wtf. Not to mention once an older guy finds out about years of young guys and sees my meds he’s going to bail.
My therapist is in la-la land and still seems to think I’ll find a quality guy my age and to give up the young guys now and focus on an older guy. Lol.

When the guy from the help desk was waiting to see my boss and asked me what I was reading I was totally making a backup plan.

I could have spent Halloween home alone with a bowl of candy watching bad tv. But when someone asked me to go to a party I said "okay". Because that sounded like more fun.

And, not your business, but it was a few dates.

Again, you can't even answer a direct question without trying to justify your behaviour through perceived victimhood.
Of course a marriage is only there to support your needs and ensure you are looked after. And of course you can't communicate any of that to him because he should just KNOW how you're feeling. You couldn't turn anywhere else (especially to your husband - he was the problem after all) and the only answer was to get rawdogged by the guy from the gym. Amirite?

But damn dating over 35 isn’t easy. I thought the grass would be greener, but I was sure lonely living in a tiny cottage and missed my daughter terribly. Then the other men have kids and it’s just too complicated to try to have a Brady Bunch.
Like I said the best is to be like my parents and stay married for 50+ years. They even almost got divorced but their parents told them to work on their marriage and now they’re much happier.

He didn't invite you to the party to be your friend.
Of course you going to a party with the random guy from your work was innocent. Girls always go to parties with random guys they don't really know because he asked them a non-personal question. The effort to make a costume and get dressed (and obviously make sure you were looking a bit sexy in the costume, just because that empowers you and is for YOU, not anyone else) and go out of your way to attend a party with said random guy definitely was not due to the prospect of any potential sex that may occur and was totally because of the strong platonic friendship that you had (with said random guy) that you intended to foster.

I was newly single. I was aware that it was a date. Single people often like to go on dates.
I didn't however have some kind of pre-arranged plan B roster of guys picked out while I was married. The book thing was a year or more before he asked me out. One of my female friends at work had told him I was single and I guess he wanted a date to take to the party.

If he hadn't suggested you return, you wouldn't have met the guy who ended up blasting a big load inside you so really it was his fault that you cheated.
Then you moved out and got rawdogged by every guy you had been sending signals to for the last few months, obviously you were only sending signals because your husband was emotionally abusive and not meeting your needs so of course you were just after some male attention that your husband wasn't providing.
Obviously you moved out and everything was "by the book" of not slooting and cheating on the marriage but you realised after getting your insides painted by all those guys that you really missed the family unit and it was your daughter holding the whole thing together (and of course you were STILL LONELY so you had to return to your previously emotionally abusive LONELY (I emphasise LONELY because of how LONELY you were) marriage. It had nothing to do with you being in a worse off position after slooting and you saw the light and returned to the family home to be the good wife and mother you know yourself to be. Because your husband was so terrible to you OF COURSE he took you back.
Obviously because you were still LONELY you needed to continue to find new guys to paint your insides though.. right?

Yes I made mistakes and he made mistakes. No one teaches you how to be married. We still are legally married and who knows what will happen in the future. Neither one of us seems to find someone else. He dated 2 of my friends but like I said we are in this dysfunctional codependent situation. Most people I know who are separated but live together eventually move out because one meets a boyfriend or girlfriend. Not us. I have the downstairs and he has the upstairs.
But I still keep looking for someone else who will give me more emotional support and be more understanding of mental issues. Who knows if I'll find a guy who has patience like that. I have older orbiters on ******** but of course I am not attracted to them. Sigh.
