Off that list I like luke Evans actually.

Cavill would be my second pick, just go off cycle when he's going to do Bond.

Tom Hardy looks like an alcholholic, he's got rugged good looks sure but he doesn't have the slick sort of look I relate with bond.

When I think of bond I think of Brosnan, that kind of look, he a suave and debonair secret agent not a cage fighter.

I question it.

Casino Royale was great but the other four were trash, and was casino royale great because of Craig? Or was it great and Craig was just in it and we accepted him as bond because the movie was great?

If Craig's first bond movie was Quantum of solace, there would have been riots.

Interestingly the first draft of casino royale was written with Brosnan in mind, but they nixed that because they needed a younger bond as Brosnans bond was too old and worldly to be cucked by a BPD chick like Vesper.

Fair enough.

Craig is my favourite Bond, mainly because Casino Royale is my favourite Bond film. ALL the Craig sequels have been ****, though I have not yet seen the newly released one.

The fact of the matter is Bond is a secret agent who can whoop your ass, but most of the Bond’s prior have been more ladies-man than bad ass. What I liked about Craig was that he was the first to strike a better balance.

Need a good script more than anything. I was never a huge DC fan by virtue of liking Pierce Brosnan so much, but there's too many explosions and not enough stealth/investigation in all of the newest movies.

Yeah I really liked Brosnan and thought he was done dirty by the world is not enough.

I have Connery #1 Brosnan #2

I did rate Craig after casino royale but as I said above since then he never followed up and now I have him just middle of the pack in ranking

I liked PARTS of Skyfall like the Hong Kong scene, and even the shoot out in the old house, but there was too much other dross in that one.

CR is the best of a bad bunch of Craig, as was Goldeneye. I still say they werent up to much i havent watched either twice.

Seen some iffy reviews of the latest, which means it definitely sucks as expected.

At least Brosnan bad bonds are so bad they are good and you can laugh at the ludicrous Ness.

Craig's ones are just a cure for insomnia

The problem I see when people think of Bond is that they get too caught up in the superficial chit. Their casting decision is based almost entirely on a certain ‘look’. Folk losing it cos Craig had blonde hair, it’s retarded. The look is part of it, but you should really consider the character as a whole.

My vote goes to Tom hardy. Guy is rugged, can fight and act. He would be the choice.

My issue with cavill is that hes too big to play bond. Bond has to be average height, athletic and “fit into the crowd”.

I could be wrong and he might be the choice but i dont see it.

Luke Evans would be a great pick as well.

What do you all think?
Tom Hardy is the best actor of the lot but he's too short/stocky and isn't refined enough for Bond.

Bond was originally described as being 37, 6' 168lbs with a slim build. He had black hair and was a good looking dude. Craig is probably the shortest and the farthest off character we've had so far. He was just a good actor and the films came out okay.

Henry Cavill could drop down to about 175-185lbs and completely nail the look. I just don't know if he'll nail the role.

Craig was supposed to be a younger/more impulsive Bond. Remember he was just getting his double 0 status in the first movie and the events that transpired is what made him jaded towards women.

He did a good job as Bond. Casino Royal was great. The others faltered a bit but that was due to writing/storyline not Craig.

No, it showed he could pull off a less competent British knockoff of Bourne. Craig's "Bond" is a depressed fuk who keeps moping for 15 years over a chick he knew for a week and is just grossly incompetent in general. Hell, he retires in the first movie because muh Vesper and then retires/goes AWOL/gets suspended in every single fuking movie except QoS.

Still, it could have worked if Bond and the audience were allowed to have fun after CR, but nope, it has to be "deep and edgy and gritty and Bond is so old lmao xd".

No, this is just bad writing rather than casting. I even said that all the Craig films post CR are chit.

Cavill out of those 3 options, but will likely go to someone who's really young, popular, but also unknown to a lot of people like Rege-Jean Page.

I like Idris Elba, but y'all know he's 49 right? That's too old to be playing Bond, when generally Eon Productions wants someone who can appear in 4-5 Bond films. Craig was 38 when he started, while Brosnan was 42.
