This was my main problem trying to compete. I had to eat 4-5k calories a day just to maintain a size of about 195 and if I stopped the weight would vanish fast. Once you reach your genetic potential it's hard to bust through without riding a bike. But I'm also a pure ectomorph. Funny thing was I switched to endurance racing and it felt 1000% more natural for my body.

This is really interesting because I am the genetic opposite - was always chunky, all the men in my family were fat. Not obese, but a permanent 25-30% body fat with broad shoulders, revolving around the 6' margin. When I cut, I've had to go as low as 1600 or else my weight wouldn't budge. When 'bulking' in the past, I'd gain mounds of fat off 2500-2800 calories. It's efficient, but it's painful to eat this low especially when you have been cursed with a mammoth appetite. I can eat 2 large pizzas myself just lying around. Cuts are fuking brutal and not worth it anymore to get a few oz of lower abdomen fat to leave. srs.

As mentioned previously, 10 years of dedication, consistency, and sacrifice have produced this physique. I'm at the leanest I've ever been and most comfortable revolving around a full 175. Mind you I used to be 215 fkn lol. Thought I was gaining mass and all that. Early training ignorance.

I am pretty much retired from the bulking/cutting cycles as it isn't worth it now. I'd rather maintain this look.

The natty limit for most people? Lmao athletic 15yo’s look bigger than this guy.

He looks like he has potential for good shape, but if he’s been training for over 4 years then he should probably just run tren.

Brah, people explained this to you at least 5 times in this thread. what's so difficult to understand? JFL

The guy's been in gyms for 4 yrs, but evidently haven't been training properly. He needs a good coach. You seeing his insta doesn't give me any confidence judging by your comments lol

Alos would have thought your bench eb higher, mines about that but youre a lot more developed. Well I dont actually do barbell but can DB 100 * 8 so Id iimagine id be around about 275 barbell
lmao no...you really shouldn't make these kind of guesses if you never bench, there's too much difference, and it's a very poor assumption

But for reference, when i could bench 275 for 1, i was probably DB benching 110 for 10+ reps lol.

Miring SRS, I think we have similar genetics and family is similar, all chunky , mine are actually fat.

For chest, I took out bench press completely and replaced it with DBs with various angles, and cables, it made a difference but I'm sure you tried that.

I've stopped tracking religiously. I just eyeball it and try to revolve around the 2200 mark. I know it's low, but apart from lifting and hiking, I don't have a physical job, and I'm getting older. I've been IF'ing it for a very long time so I usually eat 2 meals a day, one at 12pm and one at 6-7pm. It makes it very difficult to be too much in a surplus.

Judging by OP's replies and questions i'd guess he is the guy in the pics and or he is a gym friend who you want our opinions on.

Congrats on squats and milk for 2 years. Decent leg development. Now try staying at that bodyfat relatively and gaining 10lbs/year for 5 years. Then make an assessment. He/you has a decent base to build with now. What i mean is he has enough development to tell strong areas and weak areas. The worst thing this guy could do is jump into competitions wheres he in a constant cycle of cutting and bulking. Just "lean bulk" for several years and report back.

Yeah, he just plain doesn't look like he'd be that strong. Would be somewhat surprised if I saw him benching two plates or doing some similarly heavy rows.

What the **** do you mean "natty limit" the kid is like 18 yrs old or some ****. You don't reach your limit after a year and a half of lifting weights.

2200 is plenty, I'm in the same ballpark, with the Friday big junk food meal. You found what works for you!
