Exactly. Which means he tried to survive and either died to natural causes or realised he had to do it himself. Nobody can survive for a month out there, his only hope was to escape the country somehow.

In B4 "articles" are his body parts.

I don't think the parents found the evidence. I think water levels went down, stuff was found and parents were called in to identify. They were however intent on doing their own search since the park was now reopened though.
