completely disagree. A dual spec is more viable in late game, when you have enough skill points and gear to boost your trees. Early on there are multiple reasons that going dual spec is a bad idea. Your skills will be spread thin, and compromising damage in a primary tree/skill. You won't be high enough lvl to enjoy the perks of good +skill gear. And you don't have the same immunes problem in normal and nightmare compared to hell.

honestly haven't been playing much due to the server issues ... kinda got frustrated spending like 10+ hours farming and finding nothing. I know it's all luck and simply time investment but man fuk lol.

Yeah I didn't mean to suggest splitting points into separate element trees early on as it's not needed before Hell. Only that by the time one begins Hell diff that it's pretty common among sorc builds to start splitting skill points into another element at that time (level 55-70). For example, maxing out fire bolt/fire ball (and maybe meteor) and a single point into fire mastery, and then switching over to the cold tree to start going for frozen orb and cold mastery. I guess by that point that can be considered "late game". Obviously this wouldn't pertain as much if playing with other people since immunities are almost a non-issue, but it sounded like the guy I was responding to was playing solo.

made both an eth thresher obedience and eth ca perfect insight last night.
actually does a ton of dmg and finishes immunes after I static them and tele on their head

not ideal still but good enough for countess, pit etc
chaos sanc and baal is harder. dont really wanna farm there

Probably the most interesting character I've ever played.

It's amazing just sitting there and watching them clear chit for me. Corpse explosion maxed out is insane, instant kill if I explode 1-2 corpses in a group. Albeit Baal dies pretty slowly, and Meph also isn't too fast - no comparison to a blizz sorc but it's definitely more fun.

Should be interesting in PvP, all I have to do is tele on someone and they instantly have 61 monsters either stun locking or block locking them lmao.

Really well geared though. Only setbacks are that my setup doesn't have any FHR since I rely on my companions to kill chit which means I shouldn't be getting hit, and also that I'm only shooting for the 75% FCR breakpoint. Don't really need 125% just to tele around. Also decided not to use Spirit at all, I'd rather get the +3 skills/30 resist (52 with Um) from Boneflame, and use Lidless on switch with my CtA instead. This way I can put 23 into strength instead of 70, so +47 vitality.. pretty sweet.

Did +20 skeletons, +20 skele mastery, +20 mages, +20 corpse explosion, +1 amplify damage.. and everything except fire golem in Summoning tree.. just not sure where to put the rest. At 90 I have another 13 spare points.. hm.
do you use bone wall to block stuff in?

brings back memories of being like 12 years old and seeing people rage when dueling a necro and theyd just surround them with bone wall lmao

With the join game bug, I dont wanna just do 1 boss, save and exit and have to wait
its so bugged atm

so my current rotation is countess (find keys and good runes here and doable even with immunes), andy, summoner (keys), duriel (soj lol) and then trav / meph

decent runs, not too long or short.

So I made a necro. When i load up the game and have to kill something to get a minion, fuaaarrrk. Difficulties are had. But after I have my army, all I do is stand around and loot lol.

Yeah I have a 74 necro and this is definitely the most annoying thing. Overall, it's a super fun class to play though. Poison nova + skeleton army is a super fun and viable build.

I was summon until nightmare and remembered how much it sucks without Enigma (or naj staff??). Respec'd to psn and remembered the fun. However, psn is more gear dependent than summon. At around lvl 85 I believe you can get a decent army as a psn nec and you have viability anywhere with resist curse + nova + corpse explosion. One point in summons and you have a solid golem and revives plus ideally a might merc.

Finally made the leap n did a Hdin. Got dusk shroud enigma, torch, Anni 2 sojs n Maras etc. Still have my MF sorc decked out too. Necro will def be my next character theyโ€™re fun af.

probably gonna be like this until ladder announcement. they used old software to deal with today's hardware, and it hasn't worked out well, so they probably have to update things before they can release the ladder season and any other fixes.
