Before anyone brings up the Bible, I said "clear reason". The Bible is remarkable, but it's anything but clear, and it's certainly not something I can put full trust in.
Every religious view I have ever encountered has been far-fetched and difficult to believe with no modern-day miraculous signs and wonders to truly validate any of their teachings.
If you believe it, I do not mock you or consider you "low IQ", it's just not convincing to me. It could be true, but I don't see enough evidence to validate it's miraculous claims. If I were to accept it's teaching, it would be accepting with serious skepticism to a point that would not be considered true belief.

[36] Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
[37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
[38] This is the first and great commandment.
[39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Yes there are lots of factors and variables, but at the end of the day that’s what it boils down to. But loving doesn’t mean “giving someone whatever they want or always helping them accomplish their goals or whatever else may seem like the “nice” thing to do.” I look at this existence as something similar to a school where we are tasked with making the world better even though we are free to completely disregard our task if we choose. The more we help others and attempt to bring a piece of heaven to Earth and increase our capacity for love the more our spiritual essence will advance. The more suffering we cause the more we’ll have to answer for and the more we’ll regress. The concepts are much deeper than that and we could spend years going over it but that’s a decent start for someone posting this on a busy Monday morning.

It is what it is.
It is what it is.
It's not objectively true. It's something that you determine.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

God said that we are the caretakers of the Earth, but we are also flawed. We will always be flawed, and not all people know love as they live upon the Earth.
However, one day His kingdom will be built upon this Earth and all will witness Him in His glory. He commands us to love one another, to heal the world.
We may obey him, some may disobey, but all will go to Him when our time comes.

I was blind, but now I see. Many small things over time have led me here, and at the end I had a profound realization that God is love, and I prayed and witnessed God myself.
I have seen others fall from faith or find it in their lifetimes, people are always changing, but our ego gets in the way of reconsidering our view.
An atheist may not have the same solid foundation, maybe it's something they read in a book or an argument that convinced them, maybe it's how they were raised.
There is no harm that will come to your life in finding faith, it will only perfect you and give you the strength of God.

All I want is to spread God's love into the hearts of all. I know what it can do, I know how it can lift someone out of a dark and confusing pit of uncertainty.
God is my rock, my foundation. There is no doubt, there is no second guessing. I can feel His love and know it, my faith cannot waiver.
He is love, you may just call Him love as you know it. If you do not know love, then know that I love you and God loves you.
I will pray now and ask Him to guide you towards a perfect love.

Not all know love, and not all know that God is love.

The loved are in peace, a peace that cuts to the very center of your being. The love casts out all fear, doubt, and hate.

There is no need to lie, if you did not care you would not respond.
I love you, God loves you, and I can feel Him working through you now.
Do you know what love is? Do you have the courage to answer such a simple question?
Or are you afraid of love? Are you afraid of its power?
If you can read and respond, you can answer these questions.
If you do not have the courage to answer, I will pray now and ask God to give you the courage to search your heart and find the truth within on your own.

I can tell that you are simply searching for love, I can only do so much, but God's love will overwhelm your heart and deliver you towards peace.
He is waiting in your heart, He is all things, but you have made your heart hard like stone and closed it off to love. He is knocking now at the door of your heart, and you simply have to answer.
I know you are reading this. If you want to see the real truth now, the final truth, if you seek enlightenment and love, then pray to Him now and ask Him to enter your heart.
If you pray sincerely, from the depths of your heart, you will feel His love immediately and it will transform you.

Nah.
Hopefully if I created a thread titled "Darth Vader is real", saying within "I spoke to Darth Vader last night", no one would believe this either. No reason to believe in claims without evidence.

Unfortunately, not all know love, and not all are willing to allow love into their heart.

If you are equating God with love, then what we are talking about here isn’t some specific entity, out of the Bible say, but rather just adding a second and unnecessary term to something people already know about and merely call “love”. May as well have just have titled the thread “Love is real”. Nothing to do with specific claims in the Bible: i.e. a mysterious being who created the universe in 6 days, and interacted in specific ways with people in the near East some few millennia ago.
I can similarly say: the evidence for darth vader is evil. Darth Vader is evil- that’s what he is. He is all around us. We see human evil, we see naturalistic evils- this is all Darth Vader. Thus Darth Vader is real and also I spoke to him last night.

God Is Love
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
13 By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. 19 We love because he first loved us. 20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot[a] love God whom he has not seen. 21 And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
It's not my words, it's the words of Jesus Christ.7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.

Love is real, and it seems like maybe you believe in love or have experienced it before.
I'm telling you bro, if you close your eyes and pray to God, from the sincere depths of your heart, and you ask Him to let His love into your heart, it will completely overwhelm you and you will witness Him for yourself.
Nothing compares, it is profound enlightenment. You access a supreme love, you witness and experience all things at once, I say this as a Christian who once left the faith due to these sorts of arguments.
I was young and impressionable, I thought I knew everything. I thought I was intelligent for rejecting faith, but I did not realize that there were people far wiser that still had faith.
I had no idea that God is love until I heard it from Jesus, it can only have a positive influence on your life and the world around you. It gives you a divine strength and allows you to do literally anything through faith.
Not even a seed of doubt remains in my mind, there is no way that I can deny the love that I have witnessed. He is all things, and to know Him is to access the ultimate truth.

As someone who has had multiple near death experience and has ridden the line between alive/dead for a while from my substance use, I feel comfortable saying that God is definitely real. Don’t beat yourself up for straying, we are humans and are not perfect! Honestly I feel that we go through difficult times to make us stronger and wiser. I like what Logic says in his song Lord Willin’ : “ Life ain't picture perfect, we use the negatives to develop”.

Nothing in this post changes the point of my last post. Your "evidence" was love that exists around you- this is not evidence of a specific god who did various deeds in the biblical literature, any more than the evil I see around me is evidence of Darth Vader. In the OP you weren't talking to "love", what would that even mean. Claims like "I spoke to god" are utterly unevidenced. I should lend no more credence to that than you would to my claim I spoke to an extraterrestrial being yesterday. There is precisely the same amount of evidence in support of either (none).

Hmm I guess you are banned, and in fairness I realize you cant respond...but to follow up on the ET thing,
If I said "I spoke to an extraterrestrial being last night" - you should not believe me for obvious reasons- it's not evidenced, and is an extraordinary claim. So you shouldnt believe the claim, but at least thiscouldhave possibly happened. Maybe some strange alien landed in my backyard in his UFO yesterday, and I talked to him.
However, it could be argued that someone saying "I spoke to God" (God in the sense of the entity portrayed as God in the bible) could not have spoken to this entity even in theory, as the entity as portrayed in the Bible is logically contradictory in many respects (one book or passage says God's nature is X, another says it's not X. Here is just one list of examples of this:https://www.skepticsannotatedbible.c...opics/god.html). A lot of this is the consequence of the Bible being not written at once by one person, but over many different centuries by various individuals....this is one reason why there are discrepancies). There are also contradictions of omnipotence/omniscience lurking here....e.g. the whole can god create a boulder large enough he cannot move. Something that is contradictory actually does not exist, and so if someone says "I spoke to God" referring to this contradictory entity, you can actually be sure it didnt happen (nevermind just being skeptical of the claim regardless, which everyone should be).
For example, if I didnt just say "I spoke to an extraterrestrial being" yesterday (which you couldnt be sure didnt happen, although you shouldnt believe the claim), but rather said "I spoke to an extraterrestrial being which was both less than 5 feet tall and also greater than 7 feet tall", then indeed you can be sure it didnt happen. Similarly, if I say I drew a triangle with 5 sides, found an integer that is both odd and even, or found a square circle, you would also know I didnt do any of those things without even looking into the evidence aspect.

kind of hard to believe in God when i see footage of people in the 1800s to 1900s and they were living and resting in peace now better then a billion and plus today that are born in extreme poverty because of their parents...
