Half Life for sure. It was the first PC game that blew my mind and got me into PC gaming.

Then Unreal Tournament and Counterstrike in 1999 ruined my social life.

And not a single fuk was given that day.

tactics was 98? then that and ocarina agreed with above Chad of Gaming (stronk).


Tried tactics on a phone emulator and it does not translate well lol.

1998 was a good year i guess. Starcraft and half life are definitely goats.

I thought this came out in 98 - Starcraft was obviously the best game but this would be a close second if it came out a bit later

Best selling game of '98 (US and Global) and many GotY awards. Only argument can be made it's a PC game, and not the best console game.
Years later still used in Universities or by US Air Force for training. Huge Cultural influence globally and in Korea, Russia, etc. People have made careers playing this game, and watched by up to 120k live fans.

EQ is free to play for the most part till you get higher level. World of Warcraft is better game tho I prefer WoW. I still play Counterstrike.

I did the progression server into Kunark a few years back.

Then did a stint botting a 3 man team of monk, necro and mage I think I can’t remember. Did the necro epic solo which was fun.


Fuark memories. I remember doing the rogue epic when the quests first came out, kunark, velious, luclin and pop release, then moved onto wow beta.

I remember the rogue epic, was bummed later found out it was the easiest one, while my brother got his mage epic around the same time and saw how hard his was.

Silly question, but Idk whatever floats ur boat I guess. I might say it's a battle between Starcraft, Half Life, and Zelda OOT as was stated here. There was also MGS, Xenogears, Fallout 2, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Resident Evil 2 (never played it, did play 3), Sonic Adventure, Mario Party, although Mario Party 2 was the best Mario Party of all time (ofofo) Pokemon damn Red and Blue version for the Gameboy. The original epic battle musics yo.
