There's plenty of people who's lives took a completely different (worse) course when they discovered weed at a young age.

Being a cop you probably deal with them everyday. Granted those are extreme cases but you get point.

It blows my mind that places are still even doing THC testing when delta 8 is federally legal now.

So places are firing people for doing something legal, not on company time, at their own home, and its technically not against company policy if its a legal derivative of THC and could be very controversial with the wording the company has.
Just seems like its playing with fire over something stupid for a company to open themselves up to this kind of liability for a wrongful termination suit.

Side note though I have asked a few "supervisors" of places where they control HR and hiring and staffing what they do if someone tests positive on a drug test but smoked in a legal state, they said they would never fire someone for that at most they would just tell them to be more careful or just say they are going to note their response and keep it on file and do nothing with it.

All of this.

I'm sick of places drug testing for THC, but alcohol and prescription pills are totally fine!

Most of the legislation and laws against THC are enforced by people who have almost ZERO knowledge on how the chit works.

It's like they watched Tell Your Children (1936) and went: "YEP. Big facts!" and just never looked into any science/research ever again lol.

I'm taking a break from it. Made me stop pursuing women and generally just being more lazy, stopped being able to remember things as well as I could before weed too.

thats why i specified "those people" meaning the ones who function daily with use. There are habitual weed smokers who weed enhances there life. That can not be said about alcohol, because EVEN a functioning alcoholic is causing physiological harm to themselves that can ultimately kill them.

I smoked from age 15-33. About an ounce every two weeks from 23 to 33. It's a huge waste of time and money...just my opinion.
