Difference is that all of the Sony franchise installments have been very solid and extremely successful. You preferring MP games has absolutely nothing to do with the quality and success of the rest of the games. But I guess if one has to wait a decade to finally get something enjoyable your mind starts to play tricks on you.

Halo was dead to me, but there was still tons of people playing it. Anything that was ps4/Xbox one generation was dead to me, to be clear. I had no interest in 900p 30 fps games period so I basically skipped the entire generation.
Halo, even the crappy ones, were still successful and still had a decent campaign with deep lore. The difference with infinite is that its appealing to those of us who grew up on halo 1/2/3, and now it's cross play and free. So yeah, xboxers are excited again.
Also I'm on pc for primary gaming so no one's been waiting a decade for a good game lmao you're a fukkin goof. I mean I guess I have been waiting a decade for consoles to even remotely compare to the pc experience, that part is true.
