Loving it so far, but does anyone have any optimization issues, esp when traveling around the open world? I’m running a 3090 but get FPS drops from 75-100 to <60 and even under 40 a couple times when there’s a bunch of enemies.

Kinda weird how there’s not going to be sequels anymore. So it’s going to be like destiny 2 with more and more expansions?

Campaign is fun so far, but I think I've killed myself about 30 times trying to find collectibles, which must be the best hidden things I've ever seen because I've only found a couple audio logs and I feel like I'm searching pretty damn hard.

Yeah the campaign is fantastic to me, and when I see is the Campaign map, it screams a Battle Royale Map to me. What a better way to eventually segue into a BR mode by using the sprawling map that we all spent dozens of hours searching through.

I'm just doing the main missions now so I can get the story and finish it so it's not spoiled for me, and then I'm going to do another playthrough where I collect everything and do everything. Then when I have all the skulls, I'll do the dreaded LASO playthrough, which I'm only doing Normal now so I can enjoy the story, and god damn, all I kept thinking was this is going to be a bitch with LASO.

I'm like halfway through now, and I have my suspicions of what's going to happen, and how they can continue the story. But I can see why they charged $60 for the campaign, because the size, content, and countless hours of chit you can do is ridiculous. I like started to do side quests before I realized that if I don't finish the main story in 2 days, I'll see a spoiler for it and I'll be pissed. But firm handshakes to everyone at 343 because I think they got it right. It's the Halo campaign that I never thought I needed.

People were posting spoilers all over social media and Youtube days before the game came out. I also enjoy the game enough to want to play it over and over again.

I'm also BattlePass Level 65, so I'd imagine I'd be well done with the multiplayer for this season, thus opening me up to playing more campaign to get the achievements.

Campaign has been a blast. The grappling hook adds so much mobility and the sequence of kills you can put together with it are a lot of fun.

Boyos this game is so good. I didn't think it could beat out Forza Horizon 5 but this is the best game i've played in a long time. The campaign keeps getting better and the graphics are awesome

Been playing the campaign on legendary. Took a while but I've gotten better at it, beat the first 2 bosses and like 4 or 5 assassination missions. The first boss fight was very infuriating for me on legendary, very slow, died probably over 50 times tbh. Learned quick that on legendary bosses barely flinch from most weapons srs. The easiest/quickest way to down bosses on legendary is to just pick up fusion coils and chuck 'em at the bosses, depending on the boss it's like 6-8 fusion coils usually. Don't even waste time shooting them with a BR/AR, and especially the Stalker Rifle, absolute garbage weapon on legendary bosses. Plasma Rifle and Shock Rifle are kinda good though tbh, and melee is good too. Haven't tried a shotty against bosses yet, but might not be bad.

Noticed that marines are darn near invincible. And I think if you're working at capturing a FOB, and you free imprisoned marines, they literally can't die. Watched a brute smash the same marine over and over with a Gravity Hammer and it didn't do chit.

Yeah I’m gonna wait for youtube walkthroughs for that stuff. Grapple shot + semi open world equals almost infinite possible hiding spots.

Buddy of mine told me that if you zoom in on the map they show up there. I have not verified this info yet but that would be a game changer if true.

Wanted to quickly expand on the bolded. Even though I say not to waste time using AR/BR, stalker rifle, other weapons which give poor results on legendary bosses, you should still use them a LITTLE bit, just to prevent the bosses from recharging their shields. Give them occasional pressure with weapons to prevent recharge, basically in between your efforts to grab fusion coils.

not working for me. Your scan can pick them up and you can hear them as you get closer. But wish they would display on the map.

I am liking it a lot. The grapple is so good. Also like how the world is still broken up into "chunks" and isn't completely open world.... more like 4ish smaller open worlds that you slowly unlock. So there is still some structure to the game.

343 now has a great foundation for any future expansions (I'm expecting expansions throughout this entire console gen, next 6ish years or so).

The audio logs and stuff don't show up.

If you clear the fob, spartan lockers and spartan cores will show up on the map, but you have to clear the bases first.

Yea, I'm glad the spartan cores show up at least. Cleared all the FOB's in the first area. Now doing the tower.
