Creating the false dichotomy by insisting people pick a "leader" to follow is the strategy. It seems to be working quite well.
pick a leader? How about people making their own decisions

Do you think it’s a little weird that phizer is asking for 75 years to release the data of their own trials?

Can’t make your own decisions if they impact others. Idk why it’s so hard for goobers to understand.

Wrong. First author is captain of the ship [or at least a position of privilege].

Soooo STFU, bitch.

And everything you typed up further showcases his involvement in development overall through its multiple phases over a longitudinal period.

Nope. First is usually the person who leads the write-up (usually the student) and/or the corresponding author. Supervisor generally takes last.

"The following are some notable implications regarding author order.

The “first author” is a coveted position because of its increased visibility.

This author is the first name readers will see, and because of various citation rules, publications are usually referred to by the name of the first author only. In-text or bibliographic referencing rules, for example, often reduce all other named authors to “et al.” Since employers use first-authorship to evaluate academic personnel for employment, promotion, and tenure, andsince graduate students often need a number of first-author publications to earn their degree, being first author on a manuscript is crucial for many researchers, especially early in their career.

The last author position is traditionally reserved for the supervisor or principal investigator. As such, this person receives much of the credit when the research goes well and the flak when things go wrong. The last author may also be the corresponding author, the person who is the primary contact for journal editors (the first author could, however, fill this role as well, especially if they contributed most to the work).

Given that there is no uniform rule about author order, readers may find it difficult to assess the nature of an author’s contribution to a research project. To address this issue, some journals, particularly medical ones, nowadays insist on detailed author contribution notes (make sure you check the target journal guidelines before submission to find out how the journal you are planning to submit to handles this). Nevertheless, even this does little to counter how strongly citation rules have enhanced the attention first-named authors receive."

The first author is usually the person who made the most significant intellectual contribution to the work. That includes designing the study, acquiring and analyzing data from experiments and writing the actual manuscript. The person at the end generally has overarching ownership/mentoring abilities and is a catalyst to providing lab, resources, etc.

Regarding your post above, you’re just digging more of a hole. Once again, you real life experience and analytical abilities are severely lacking.

Try again, kiddo.

Lol. PI almost always takes last unless they're social jerks. That's how it's been on almost everything I've published.

Did your supervisor/advisor take first? If so, that's a chitty move.

Decent points overall, but here’s where your argument breaks down. Millions(billions?) of people all over the world aren’t being allowed to pick. You can’t say “you must do what we say or else be forced to not shop for groceries, or fly, or get the injection otherwise you lose your job, or your kids must get the injection in order to attend public school”. For tons of people there is little choice they’re left with. And all of the pressure is coming from one specific side. For the right it’s “get a booster every week for all I care” and for the left it seems to be “we will beat you into submission via various means to make your life more difficult if you don’t do what we say”.

So what you said is Dr Malone was on the ground floor during the development of this teach and further proved that he is one of the most qualified people on earth to be talking about mrna vaccines including 9 patents on the subject.

Excellent, we all agree.

Now onto what he discussed in the actual interview which it doesn't even sound like you listened to.

Right, I’ve never said any of those things. Just pointing out that I think your argument breaks down when you imply that everyone can choose which way to go as if it’s as simple as just choosing the leader you want to follow. I understand that there are people who received the injection yet don’t support mandates. That doesn’t help all of the people who lost their job or were borderline forced to get the injection because they couldn’t afford to lose their job. They didn’t get to “choose their leader”. And that is coming from one side, even if you accurately point out that it’s not everyone on that side that agrees with it.

I put "leader" in quotes to convey I was referring to people's choosing who's ideas/recommendations/guidance/rhetoric to follow/trust.

I did not intend to suggest everyone can choose their own individual president or policy makers.

I don't think any of the people looking for airtime have any concern for my well-being.

That’s what I’m saying….millions of people all over the world aren’t allowed to choose whose guidance they will follow. They are told “follow this guidance or get fired, don’t travel, and don’t have a social life”. And they are told that from only one side.

But to get back on topic, which claims made by Malone do you take issue with the most? What are the top 3?

I disagree.

I think the challenge is trying to put people into one of only two buckets: the left bucket or the right bucket. Many more buckets exist.

With social media there are plenty of sources of guidance: Fauci, WHO, CDC, Malone, McCullough.

What is the source of the covid treatment guidance and protocols recommended on the Misc?

I take issue with overstating conclusions and disregarding uncertainty.

Yes there are many different types of people, but you said people get to choose whose guidance to follow and that often isn’t the case. Lots of people that I love have gotten the injection. I don’t care. If they want my views on it I’ll tell them. Same with mandates of anything. So it’s not like people are out there in real world situations fighting each other for not being injected. I guess we do see some examples of terrified paniccels freaking out about masks, but that’s probably extremely rare.

Which conclusions do you believe he overstated and what uncertainty did he disregard?

JLC will push back on anything that might cast doubt on how great the shots are or reduce the number of injections shoved in to people.

If he can't counter an attack on the injections then he:

- attacks the study
- attacks the publisher of the information
- attacks the person who shared the information
- derails the topic
- changes the subject
- attempts to air gap the shots from the politics

The problem is that the injections program is fundamentally flawed in that they were manufactured and administered to the public without informed consent or a risk/benefit disclosure.

And if the long term effects really do turn out to be quite bad then medical practice and the pharma industry will be damaged by it. The public will have much less trust in their physicians and will be likely to ignore medical advice or to seek out alternative medicine. Government [if it is functioning at all] will crack down harder on pharma and their trials/new medications.

Said elsewhere, but this is not a left/right thing. It is beyond a public health thing. It is beyond the shots, though the way the shots were deployed and are being used seems criminal.

We have a democracy where people like Malone and McCullough get to have their say, where doctors get to choose the best options for their individual patients without fear of being kicked out of their hospital, where individuals have bodily autonomy and are not coerced to accept medical interventions, where individuals are allowed to move freely within their home country and participate in daily life without showing their papers...

or we have a totalitarian technocracy where we all are expected to crawl on our bellies like worms begging big daddy government to please let us have a business, work a job, go to a store or a cafe, gather together to worship, and be secure in our own bodies.

He can't help it man. He is unable to take in any information that doesn't support the response laid out by the mainstream narrative.
- Mass formation is similar to hypnosis. People who are in the grasp of mass formation are not aware of the egoistic disadvantages that they suffer. You can take away their life, health, wealth, future, and freedom- he will not be aware of it. He is so gripped by hypnosis.

- Usually about 80% of people are susceptible to hypnosis to some level. In mass formation only about 30% are deeply in the grip of mass formation. There is no correlation between susceptibility to mass formation and higher or lower intelligence. The most intelligent people can be completely blind to argumentation against the narrative.
Embracing the "solution" and practicing the rituals helps him feel connected and that life has meaning.

Our best option-
Try to talk in a sincere in honest way. Try to continue to speak out. Try to continue to see that there is a dissident voice in the public space.

Exactly. 44 million seems like a large "mass". I wonder if anyone is making money from an audience that size?
JLC will push back on anything that might cast doubt on how great the shots are or reduce the number of injections shoved in to people.

If he can't counter an attack on the injections then he:

- attacks the study
- attacks the publisher of the information
- attacks the person who shared the information
- derails the topic
- changes the subject
- attempts to air gap the shots from the politics
Addressing the study is how these discussions should be conducted. No? When the discussion hinges on an a study, should we not address the study?

When/where do I attack someone for posting the information? Asking for support of an opinion isn't a personal attack. When do I name call, attack or even mention a poster's character?Doesn't this agree with my point that there are multiple sources of guidance available, which people can choose to follow?

My point was that it's suggested choosing to be vaccinated means someone has been hypnotized. But choosing to follow one of these guys mags you're an independent thinker.

Both seems false to me.

Ceo of a life insurance company gave a presentation last week

The head of OneAmerica insurance said the death rate is up a stunning 40% from pre-pandemic levels among working-age people.

“We are seeing, right now, the highest death rates we have seen in the history of this business – not just at OneAmerica,” the company’s CEO Scott Davison said during an online news conference this week. “The data is consistent across every player in that business.”
OneAmerica is a $100 billion insurance company that has had its headquarters in Indianapolis since 1877. The company has approximately 2,400 employees and sells life insurance, including group life insurance to employers in the state.

Davison said the increase in deaths represents “huge, huge numbers,” and that’s it’s not elderly people who are dying, but “primarily working-age people 18 to 64” who are the employees of companies that have group life insurance plans through OneAmerica.

“And what we saw just in third quarter, we’re seeing it continue into fourth quarter, is that death rates are up 40% over what they were pre-pandemic,” he said.

“Just to give you an idea of how bad that is, a three-sigma or a one-in-200-year catastrophe would be 10% increase over pre-pandemic,” he said. “So 40% is just unheard of.”

Davison was one of several business leaders who spoke during the virtual news conference on Dec. 30 that was organized by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.

Most of the claims for deaths being filed are not classified as COVID-19 deaths, Davison said.

“What the data is showing to us is that the deaths that are being reported as COVID deaths greatly understate the actual death losses among working-age people from the pandemic. It may not all be COVID on their death certificate, but deaths are up just huge, huge numbers.”

He said at the same time, the company is seeing an “uptick” in disability claims, saying at first it was short-term disability claims, and now the increase is in long-term disability claims.

“For OneAmerica, we expect the costs of this are going to be well over $100 million, and this is our smallest business. So it’s having a huge impact on that,” he said.

He said the costs will be passed on to employers purchasing group life insurance policies, who will have to pay higher premiums.

The CDC weekly death counts, which reflect the information on death certificates and so have a lag of up to eight weeks or longer, show that for the week ending Nov. 6, there were far fewer deaths from COVID-19 in Indiana compared to a year ago – 195 verses 336 – but more deaths from other causes – 1,350 versus 1,319.

These deaths were for people of all ages, however, while the information referenced by Davison was for working-age people who are employees of businesses with group life insurance policies.
At the same news conference where Davison spoke, Brian Tabor, the president of the Indiana Hospital Association, said that hospitals across the state are being flooded with patients “with many different conditions,” saying “unfortunately, the average Hoosiers’ health has declined during the pandemic.”

In a follow-up call, he said he did not have a breakdown showing why so many people in the state are being hospitalized – for what conditions or ailments. But he said the extraordinarily high death rate quoted by Davison matched what hospitals in the state are seeing.

"What it confirmed for me is it bore out what we're seeing on the front end,..." he said.

The number of hospitalizations in the state is now higher than before the COVID-19 vaccine was introduced a year ago, and in fact is higher than it’s been in the past five years, Dr. Lindsay Weaver, Indiana’s chief medical officer, said at a news conference with Gov. Eric Holcomb on Wednesday.

Just 8.9% of ICU beds are available at hospitals in the state, a low for the year, and lower than at any time during the pandemic. But the majority of ICU beds are not taken up by COVID-19 patients – just 37% are, while 54% of the ICU beds are being occupied by people with other illnesses or conditions.

The state's online dashboard shows that the moving average of daily deaths from COVID-19 is less than half of what it was a year ago. At the pandemic's peak a year ago, 125 people died on one day – on Dec. 29, 2020. In the last three months, the highest number of deaths in one day was 58, on Dec. 13.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for a response. I’ve been asking him for days which claims he has a problem with, but so far he seems unwilling to answer.

It's why I start with yes or no questions, harder to tap dance away from them.

And FWIW I dont buy anyone's position on these issues wholesale. I do spend a lot of time making sure I read/listen to opinions and discussion I disagree with, picking the kernels of verifiable data out of the mess of discussion is the only way to parse any level of sanity out of issues like this.

The fact that they're mandating the jabs for the naturally immune and children (effectivey naturally immune by default) tells you everything you need to know about it.

Has any physician suggested testing people for antibodies before jabbing them?

Who would get the flu shot right after having the flu?

Presumably Spotify makes money so they stay in business. Same thing for youtube, the NYT, WaPo, CNN...take your pick.

I have not said that *choosing* to be vaccinated means that someone is hypnotized. Not once have I attacked or disparaged someone for choosing to get the jabs.

Feel free to comb through my post history if you like.

Being hypnotized is believing that the shots/masks/social distancing are the only correct course of action for ALL people regardless of their risk, and that anyone who does NOT get shots/wear masks/social distance is selfish and bad for not sacrificing to show solidarity with the Holy Church Of Official Pandemic Response.

Being hypnotized is believing that any individual expert, study, or opinion that doesn't wholeheartedly and unreservedly support the Official Pandemic Response is an unqualified quack, fringe, or dangerous misinformation that the flock must be protected from lest they be turned to the false path [aka: think for themselves].

Being hypnotized is believing that the unvaxxed are apostates, unrepentant sinners who must be punished and brought into alignment with the Holy Writ because their unwillingness to embrace the Divine Truth makes them a danger to themselves and others.
